A Bicycle Made For Two

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Wendy's  turn to host and she would like to see 'Transport'
Here is what I did, I used a LOTVstamp, the bike being my form of transport, and decided to go for blues, they just seemed to suit the little boy on the bike.  As it's a card for a boy there's very few embellishments.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

Here are the prizes on offer:-

The Ribbon Girl is a are Mother and Daughter, Mary and Andrea, and have always crafted (card making, scrapbooking, cake decorating, sewing, embroidery, soft toy making etc) but it became more and more difficult to buy very small quantities of good quality ribbon, lace and buttons at reasonable prices and we resented having to purchase a full roll of ribbon when we only needed one metre.

As we love ribbons, lace, flowers and all things pretty and sparkly, we decided to open our own online store The Ribbon Girl in 2010 so we could make very small (or large) quantities of top quality products available to all crafters

Flonz $20 store gift voucher

FlonzCraftn are a small family-owned design and craft company from New Zealand, a very small country where all people are great neighbours. We work hard for our work and store philosophy to reflect that in our company. We will never be ashamed of our products. Our main goal is making and selling rubber and clear stamps and we have and unique collection of stamps that you can not find anything else.

This is for the following challenges:-
1. Crafty Catz - challenge # 192 - Banners & bunting
2. 4 Crafty chicks - #151 - Let's Here It For The Boys
3. Creatalicious - Pets
4. Deep ocean - challenge # 56 - Blue

Desert Island Crafting

This is a Mid-Way reminder at Stamping Sensations and this month I have chosen the theme and it is "Summer Colours" and I also did this  sketch:-

Added link to the post with bigger picture
If you take a look at the DT's interpretations of my sketch you will see how my sketch can be used, they have all done such a fabulous job with it and all so different too.

So for a change we have decided to do a Desert Island Crafting, where we pick six items we would take to our Desert Island, we will all take a turn each month, and I'm up first.

My six essential Desert Island crafting items are:-
1) Colouring Medium (we are allowed 5 colours) - Distress inks - Brushed Corduroy, Stormy Sky, Worn Lipstick, Shabby Shutters, Mustard Seed.

I chose distress Inks as I can use them to colour images and to ink around edges, and as a versatile colouring medium I can mix colours to make colours, hence my colour shade choices.

2) Guillotine - I'm a bit of symmetrical person and have to have straight lines

3) Collall - all purpose glue - it just sticks anything and could complete a full card using that as the only adhesive.

4) Flower Punch - being partial to my handmade flowers on my cards one of these would be a must for me to embellish.

5) Stickles Diamond Dust this is my favourite and I love my sparkle

6) A set of House Mouse stamps - they are my all time favourite stamps

In addition we are all allowed 50 sheets of cardstock of our choice
I would choose 25 sheets of white as I could colour stain them with inks, then 25 sheets of assorted pastel colours as I like pastels best.

I know I'll have forgot some kind of essential

Today's News:-
Yesterday we went to The White Rose shopping centre to get my Mum's birthday presents and there was a Bird Of Prey rescue centre there.  Of course my seven year old Bobby was mesmerised, the way he loves animals.  He was stroking a Barn Owl and asking loads of questions, I think he'd charmed them as they asked him if he would like to hold an African White Faced Owl, it was only small and so beautiful.  He was over the moon, so elated, here he is

He has some little bruises where the talons dug into his arm but he doesn't care, the hand part of the glove is really padded but not so much on the part that covered Bobby's arm.  I suppose it's because older people have the owls sat on their hand not like Bobby and on the arm with him being so small.
There was some really big Birds Of Prey there and Bobby stroked them all, wasn't scared or worried what so ever.  What an experience for him.
