Good Morning bloggers, not long to go till the man in the red suit comes, are you all organised?  I'm not which is so unusual for me. But had some family and health issues which has knocked me of my game for the last few months. Next year I am going to be organised so I can enjoy it all more.
It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Jo's turn to host and she would like to see 'White Christmas'
Here is what I did, I used this gorgeous Sarah Kay stamp, thank you Brenda she will be well used, and decided to use lots of glamour dust, and highlighted the white with Antique Linen Distress Inks to tone with the colour of her hat and coat and to help show the embossing. I  find it really hard not to use an actual image on my cards as the focal point, but the rest of my card is white which is what Jo is looking for.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

Candy Canes

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Tracy's turn to host and she would like to see 'Animals'
Here is what I did, I used this really cute Mulberry Wood stamp, and decided to stick to traditional Christmas colours.  I stamped a candy cane to use as an embellishment, I used glossy accents to give it a shine, I've made it for my son Bobby, he likes anything with animals.  It's not too fussy as I enjoyed the colouring for this card and didn't want to loose the candy cane amongst other embellishments.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

Santa's Little Helpers

I hope you’re all OK and have had a lovely restful weekend, or have you been bust Christmas shopping and putting up Christmas trees.
This is a challenge post for House Mouse and will be our Last Challenge of 2014 and it will run all the way through to January 3rd, 2015. That gives you an entire month to play for your chance to WIN some great prizes from not 1, not 2, not 3, not 4 BUT 5! Yes, 5 Wonderful Sponsors!

OK so I wouldn't usually go for purple/lilac for a Christmas card, I'm the traditional red and green kind of girl.  But this is another card my daughter has asked me to make for her friends, she asked for purple and sparkly.  Never thought I would be using lilac gingham ribbon on a Christmas card.  I glossed the bauble which you can't see, and there's lots of my favourite Christmas product Glamour Dust, I need some more of that, not getting low.  Can't say I'm really impressed by this but it made a change for me.

So for the theme over on the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge,  is "Christmas & New Year" -
Of course you must use a House MouseHappy Hopper or Gruffie to join in.

The Mouse Goes 'POP'

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Sarah's turn to host and she would like to see 'Milestone Birthday's' for e.g. 1st, 18th, 40th or 90th etc.........
Here is what I did, I used this fab House Mouse image, and made a masculine card for an 18 year old, so that's why there's a lack of embellies and flowers. I thought this would have been hard to colour but it wasn't suprisingly.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

Hot Cocoa

I hope you’re all OK and have had a lovely weekend. I can't believe it's only 4 weeks to Christmas, I definitely need more time than that!!!!
This morning I would like to show you the theme over on the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge, this time it was our lovely Lorraine's turn to choose the theme and she chose "Add A Bit Of Sparkle" - Use something on your creation that glitters and shines. This card is requested by my Daughter so she can give it to her friend, My kids have wrote me lists at the weekend for what they want me to make for them to give out, god knows where I'll find time to do my own makes.  She wanted blue, animals and something like cocoa or toasting marshmallows.  So I have used the Christmas Cheer stamp  and hopefully this card fits all her criteria.  For my sparkle there is stickles for the steam and gems.
Of course you must use a House MouseHappy Hopper or Gruffie to join in.

Thanks for looking, the DT have all made gorgeous cards for your inspiration so hop on over to the HM&F Monday Challenge to see them.  And check out the prizes while your there too.

A Christmas Robin

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Brenda's turn to host and she would like to see 'No Design Papers Allowed'
Here is what I did, I used one of the sponsors images from Nicecrane, you can find it here

Now as I couldn't use design papers I decided to emboss my backgrounds, with the swiss dots and snowflakes.  the image had a treatment of Glamour dust for that snowy and frosty effect.  And I know it's not traditional colour card but I matched to the image this time and used this orange/tan colour.

Caroling Trio Candle

This is my mid way challenge creation for Penny black & More @ Allsorts, where the theme is 'Anything Goes'.  I decided to crack on with some Christmas gifts, this candle is for Bobby's Teacher.  I love doing candles, and always do a matching gift box to finish it off with.

For the candle I stamped Penny Black's Caroling Trio (40-007) and coloured it with Spectrum Noirs, then found a Holly stamp and did a border to go round the top of the candle.  Cut a strip of card and used a scalloped border punch on it, then went mad and coated it in Glamour dust.

I also added a sentiment to the back of the candle, that seems to make it look more finished off.

Then for the gift box I stamped out another Caroling Trio image and cut two of the mice out to use as embellishments.  I put in an acetate window to the front and the back, and a layered Poinsettia on the lid.

We have prizes from Penny Black, Crafts U Love, Flonz Crafts & Classy Crafts. Now isn't that a lot of prizes, definitely worth getting your animal stamps out isn't it!!!!!!

Are you wanting some inspiration, pop on over to the challenge blog and then you can see all the wonderful creations from the rest of the talented team.

Warming Up!

I hope you’re all OK and have had a lovely weekend. I can't believe it's only 5 weeks to Christmas, I don't have nearly enough Christmas cards, gift bags and gifts made yet.

So now  for the theme over on the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge, this time it was our lovely Lorraine's turn to choose the theme and she chose "Add A Bit Of Sparkle" - Use something on your creation that glitters and shines. I have used the Warm Tree Light stamp and made it into a gift bag.  Love doing gift bags and always use them up for Christmas gifts. There is lots of gems on my tree's and bag and the tree light is full of stickles, so plenty of sparkle on my gift bag.
Of course you must use a House MouseHappy Hopper or Gruffie to join in.

Thanks for looking, the DT have all made gorgeous cards for your inspiration so hop on over to the HM&F Monday Challenge to see them.  And check out the prizes while your there too.

What Did I do With A Strawberry Crate

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is my turn to host and I would like to see 'Anything But A card', so you can alter something, knit something in fact you can do anything just don't make a card.
Here is what I started with, it's a strawberry crate I got filled with strawberries from the supermarket in the summer, it's a smallish one 11 1/2" x 7 1/2".

I started by inking all the edges with Vintage Photo Distress Inks

Then chose my papers from LOTV 'Pressed In Time' paper pad, there is quite a plainish green paper which I used but stamped on it using a Joanna Sheen Rose stamp and also used a LOTV script stamp to make it a bit more interesting.  On the reverse of the sides I used a beige floral paper and stamped a bit of script on them.

For the bottom of the crate I chose a paper with a large floral pattern to make a focal point, matted and layered it on top of some other neutral patterned paper.

Then using the Rose stamp, I stamped out three roses, cutting two out and decoupaging them, added glamour dust for a bit of sparkle, I had to get some in somewhere LOL!  Then to finish off a couple of Butterflies.  Voila! A nice sturdy tray to maybe house my heat gun etc in.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

Here is the prize on offer:-

Pen Storage & blog Hop Reminder

First of all this morning I would like to remind you that it's a blog hop at House Mouse & Friends Monday Challenge, celebrating 6 years on our challenge blog.  For this Blog-Hop Challenge the theme is 'Brrrr........It's Cold Outside'
With great prizes to win and even candy from me too.  You can find it here, but don't forget to read the rules.

My husband has had to re-do my pen storage as my collection has grown.  He has used overflow pipe, cutting the pipes to size then gluing them together.

It took him quite a while, the pipes are cut a bit shorter then the length of the pen so that you can get your fingers in to pull the pen out.  See he thought of everything bless him!!!

So he carefully calculated how many pipes were needed to actually house the full range of Spectrum Noirs and all the Promarkers I have collected so far.  I won't be purchasing anymore Promarkers because I have to admit the Spectrum Noirs are better at blending than the Promarkers.

As you can see I still have a few Spectrum Noirs to go but hoping Christmas will take care of that.  And I would really love the Crafter's Companion tutorial DVD's so I can improve my colouring.

So a big thank you to my hubby for coming up with this, it's brilliant and I love it, now please can I have the rest of the pens LOL!

Thanks for popping by my blog,

Poppies And Rememberance

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Susan's turn to host and she would like to see 'Rememberance/Poppies'
I thought I'd have a change and make a candle with a matching box.  I just love making these and they make fabulous gifts too.  Not sure of the stamp but my lovely friend Brenda sent it to me a long time ago.  I stamped the image on tissue paper for the candle then stamped it another two times on card so that I could cut them out after colouring them and use them as embellishments for my gift box.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.
