Under The Weather

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Wendy turn to host and she would like to see 'Use 2 or more dies'

I fancied a bit of a different theme this time, and went for a get well card as the weather will be changing soon no doubt, and all those nasty bugs and viruses will be going round, so I'm sure I'll be using it for somebody.  For my dies I used sizzix flower dies in three different sizes so I've used more than two dies. Haven't made many handmade flowers lately so enjoyed doing these.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

Here is the prize on offer:-

Pink Florals

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Brenda's turn to host and she would like to see 'Fabulous Florals'

Using a Joanna Sheen stamp I stamped the image once then masked it then stamped it again to get a bigger image.  Coloured with Spectrum Noirs I used a grey to do the shading to make them more life like.  I used glamour dust to give the edges a slight sparkle but not too much.  I kept the card simple as I thought the flowers did most of the work for this card.  I so enjoyed using and colouring this image.

Pretty Butterflies

Good Morning,  It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts, and we have a great theme for the lovely summer weather we've been having.  This week is our lovely Susan's turn to host and she would like to see 'Butterflies'

I started this card wanting to use a freebie set I got with a craft magazine and hadn't used yet.  It has two dies - an outer rim then the cut out wings, there's also three stamps - a sentiment, a flower and a butterfly, I utilised all of them. I started by cutting the butterfly outline out, then stamped with memento ink the butterfly with detail.  Using a glue pen I coloured in the patterned wings then sprinkled with glitter.  I then used the detailed die and cut the butterfly out in vellum then overlaid. Using pearls for the body, finished each butterfly.

For the base of the card and background I stamped a strip of white card with a flower stamp and matted it onto pink card, I did a faux stitched outline round the base card and stamped the sentiment in the corner.

Sleepy Dragon And A Bear

Hello and welcome, it's a new month for Stamping Sensations and Penny black & More @ Allsorts challenges, if you didn't get the chance to join in last month's challenges these could be the ones for you.

At Stamping Sensations this month the theme is 'Anything Goes' So you can use what ever stamp you want.  I fancied doing something different and used this Sweet Pea stamp of this cute sleepy little dragon.  I thought it could be for a new baby boy or a toddler, I love the fact he's sleeping under the die cut stars, I kept it simple as I didn't want to detract from the cute image.

FOIL PLAY

The prize is a £35 voucher for the foil play store

And of course, the Design Team have created some stunners to inspire you. Please do pay them a visit to their individual blogs - it means a lot to know you appreciate their efforts.

And now onto my second challenge creation for Penny black & More @ Allsorts, where the theme is 'Anything Goes With A Stamp'  So you can use any stamp for this challenge, so it gives you plenty of choice.  This is one of my favourites from Penny Black and I know it's an old image but don't know if it's still available, it's called Bitty Angel and is fabulous to colour.  I glittered the wings so they sparkle really well.  I layered up with patterned paper, embossed card and then added some faux stitching.

Does My Bum Look Big In This?

Good Morning it's been a lovely week for the school holidays, lots of nice sunshine for the kids to play out in.  Hope the weekend is just as good.
On this Saturday morning it's a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Mervi's turn to host and she would like to see 'Spots & Stripes'

I made a gift bag, I really don't know where they go in my house but there's never many when I look in the box.  I was looking through my papers for some spots and stripes and came across these freebies that came in a magazine with the stamp I've used.  I decoupaged the stamp on the hat and the bow on the swimsuit, I'm happy with the result as it looks quite effective.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.
