Let's Fly A Butterfly

Well it's been a very wet week, we've had a bit of snow too, looking forward to spring. So It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Wendy's turn to host and she would like to see 'Butterflies'

I love this cute little mouse hitching a lift from a butterfly, I went with Shabby Chic colours and papers and decoupaged the butterfly, then glittered it.  When I did my spellbinder corners I used distress inks while they were still in the die to give the two toned effect.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

Monkey Business!

Good Morning blogging friends, it's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is my turn to host and I would like to see 'No Patterned Papers
I am challenging you to get creative with your own backgrounds or you could even go totally CAS, the choice is yours and we look forward to seeing all your creations.
I was really tempted to go girly with this one but my son chose this image a while a go for his Birthday, he loves animals and he said this was really cute.  I said but it has flowers and he just went "So......."  he even said dark pink flowers.  Not what I expected from a twelve year old boy, well he will be twelve on Wednesday 17th January.
This was a real colouring challenge, I thought they looked more like Chimpanzees but Bobby does insist that he wants them to be Orangutans, well I do hope I've delivered LOL!

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

A Little Bird Told Me Or Was It A Mouse !!

Happy New Year to all, it's a new month for Stamping Sensations and Penny black & More @ Allsorts challenges, if you didn't get the chance to join in last month's challenges these could be the ones for you.

At Stamping Sensations this month the theme is 'Cold & Frosty Colours', well it is January and the weather sure does depict some very cold a frosty mornings.  I went with one of my favourite House Mouse stamps, framing it with Nestie dies, I made my corners using a die which was a magazine freebie,  and then punching daises and added them to the die.

Our prize this month is:-

And of course, the Design Team have created some stunners to inspire you. Please do pay them a visit to their individual blogs - it means a lot to know you appreciate their efforts.

And now onto my second challenge creation for Penny black & More @ Allsorts, where the theme is 'Something New', my something new is this Penny Black stamp which was given to me and this is the first time I have used it so therefore new to me. I have never used Liquid Pearls before and purchased some over Christmas so I have used them on this card as another 'Something New' item.  I haven't chosen an occasion for this card as the sentiment reads 'A Little Bird Told Me' so it could be for Happy Birthday, Get Well etc........  I chose to do it in a vintage style as I thought it suited the image.

We have prizes from PB, Swedish House Crafts - £15 voucher, Tonic die.  Now isn't that a lot of prizes, definitely worth getting your stamps out isn't it!!!!!!

Now if you would like to be a GDT for us, all you need to do is make a creation to fit the theme following our rules.

Simplicity!

Happy New Year my lovely blogging friends, I hope you all enjoyed your festivities and have had a great New Year.  It's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Susan's turn to host and she would like to see 'Something New' so it can be a new craft item or a card for a new job, house or baby etc..........

As a Christmas present I received a set of Bee Crafty stamps so it was obvious to use them for this great theme.  I started stamping the floral corner, then colouring with Spectrum Noirs and Promarkers.  The stamped dots are from a Stampman set, but I think it fills in the spaces nicely. I added the Bee Crafty sentiment and then stamped the butterflies on seperate card, then cut them out, coloured and stickled them.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.
