'And Now Your Watch Has Ended'

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.

This week is our lovely Lorraine's turn to host and she would like to see 'Embellish It'

So I'll explain about this weeks make, it's not a morbid card, it is a very sentimental card to me.  It is for my Son's Birthday on the 24th October, he would have been 26 years old. We still celebrate his Birthday as if we would have if he was still here with us.  So he was really into Game Of Thrones, and loved crows which featured in the series too.  Every day we go to the cemetery and we always see Crows, we joke when there is a cheeky one that comes quite close to us, we say I bet that's our Scott.

So to create this I started with the background, using various sprays, particularly my new Distress Mica sprays from the Tim Holtz Halloween collection. I created an arch from a piece of card and used it as a stencil to ink around.  Then using a brick stencil I inked through it around the outside of the archway.  I stamped my main image the Crow and embossed him in clear embossing powder so he stood out a bit more.  Then in the arch I stamped in chipped Sapphire ink the Crafty Individuals Inky script.  I added some branches.  I die cut a wrought iron fence and added that after I rubbed it with a bit of gilding wax.  I also added gilding wax to the stone cross.  I took some plain white flowers and sprayed them with the same inks, and added a brad to the centre of each.  It's a real shame you can't see the mica on the picture, it looks fabulous.

I also stamped on the envelope to go with the card.

This week is my turn to host and I would like to see 'Winter Scene or Snow'

Here is what I did, I started with a Bauble template and my favourite oxide Speckled Egg, such a pretty colour for Winter scenes, I then stamped my scene inside the shape.  I created the snow with a white Posca pen.  For the corners I stamped in speckled egg the Lavinia Mystic Swirl.  And finally added a silver bow to the bauble and Glamour dust to the snow.

Simplicity!

Happy New Year my lovely blogging friends, I hope you all enjoyed your festivities and have had a great New Year.  It's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Susan's turn to host and she would like to see 'Something New' so it can be a new craft item or a card for a new job, house or baby etc..........

As a Christmas present I received a set of Bee Crafty stamps so it was obvious to use them for this great theme.  I started stamping the floral corner, then colouring with Spectrum Noirs and Promarkers.  The stamped dots are from a Stampman set, but I think it fills in the spaces nicely. I added the Bee Crafty sentiment and then stamped the butterflies on seperate card, then cut them out, coloured and stickled them.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.
