Dragon Win

Good morning, I'm here with some good news and my new challenge creation, so we'll do the challenge first today at Allsorts.
And this week is our lovely Ellie's turn to host and she would like to see 'Magical & Mythical', so it could be Fairies, Mermaids, unicorns etc......... or even Dragons like mine.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

Here is the prizes on offer:-

So my stamp that I've used is a win from Wild Rose Studio, they were having a candy and I haven't entered anything for quite a while, so I entered and to my surprise I won and this is my prize:-

And this week was full of ups and downs, first my candy win, then my eldest son went for a job interview and got a phone call the same day to say he'd got the job.  He hasn't worked for quite a while as he's had some problems, but he starts his new job on Monday.  It's smart attire so yesterday we spent the day shopping getting him shirts, trousers, ties, shoes  etc.....  I am so proud of him because I know for him this was a very big step.
Then today was a very emotional day as Bobby left his primary school, I know it's only July but this is how it's done now.  He starts high school on Monday, and it's not just for a few days transition, he actually becomes a Rodillian High School pupil.  So they had a leavers assembly this morning, all the children received an autograph book so they could have messages in from their friends and teachers.  They called all the children up one by one and as our surname is Thompson, Bobby was called up last.  He burst into tears then set all the other kids off and the whole thing turned into a tear fest LOL!
Bobby is known as a little toughie so lots of the parents and teachers were very surprised by his sensitive side.
Image may contain: 3 people, people smiling, people standing

Bobby is in the middle (don't know what he's done with is hair LOL)  and his cousins are on either side of him.  Then they went off with the rest of year 6 to go bowling and to eat at pizza hut for their leaving party.  Then we picked them up at 2:00pm and the tears for all the kids started again.  It's a such a big thing for them, as many are going to different schools.

So enough rambling now ha ha!

Recipe:-
Stamps -Wild Rose Studio - CL507 Dragon Running,
Papers - Wild Rose Studio - Butterfly Gardens,
Colouring Mediums - Spectrum Noirs,
Tools - Grand Calibur, Spellbinder dies,
Embellishments - ribbon,

Ring A Ring 'O' Roses

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Brenda's turn to host and she would like to see 'Ring A Ring 'O' Roses'
So we would like to see roses on your creation to fit our theme.

I struggled at first, so I chose a stamp I haven't used until now, a Wild Rose Studio.  I coloured it up first then the inspiration came from the flowers the Rabbit is holding, and remembered a magazine freebie set that had this rose stamp in.  So I stamped it out ten times, coloured them and cut them out to form my ring of roses.  I then remembered getting a rose embossing folder also a freebie, so there was my background.

We have two super prizes on offer this week, a really pretty floral paper pad and yes there are some Roses in there and a Heartfelt Creations Romantique Garden stamp.

A quick reminder in case you missed last weeks post, next Saturday is our 8th Birthday, we have a fun challenge planned and would love you to grab the photo below and share on your own blogs to help us spread the word.

Thanks for popping by my blog.

Christmas Spots & Stripes

Good Morning bloggers, It's time for a new challenge today at Oldie But A Goodie
This week is our lovely Helen's turn to host and she would like to see 'Spots & Stripes'
I love anything with spots, and decided to use some freebie Milton & Co papers I haven't used yet.  They went perfectly with this Wild Rose Studios stamp, this penguin is so cute.

Don't forget to head over to Oldie But a Goodie for all the details of this challenge, to see the super prize that is on offer to the winner from Crafty Sentiments Stamps and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

Remember to be in with a chance of winning You must use something that must be at least 6 months old.

Now onto my proud mum moment, my youngest son bobby, plays football for the Hunslet Boys Club, he's so proud to have made it on to the team.  He trains every Thursday and Saturday and then there's matches on a Sunday.  They've had six matches so far and there team have done very well with only one loss.
This week Bobby was made Captain and given an armband to wear, his little face lit up and he really stepped upto the mark, he gave instructions and had all his players in the right places, not bad for an under 7's team at all..  Here he is:-

It was so cold, so until the kids actually went on the pitch they wore trackie bottoms and gloves etc...... Then off the warm clothes came and the little troopers played in shorts and shirts and never moaned once.  Bobby's team won 15-1 to Glen Juniors, what a win!!!   Bobby plays either mid field or defence, he prefers defence though, he was described by one of the Dads watching and supporting the other team as a little pitbull, he's not scared of getting stuck in, LOL!
Below is two pieces that have been wrote by Bobby's coach onto the clubs website mentioning Bobby's performance

Report
Today I was very proud of every single player that went to play for Hunslet.
I feel we scored lots of goals and all the goal scorers did very well, however we also stopped Glen from playing. This was down to every player chipping in and giving 100%.
Little Bobby stood out to me today as he took being captain very seriously and became a man ; ).
We have clearly had a good da but we never know what Horsforth will be like so lets take one match at a time and give the same effort next week.
Well done everybody including Matthew and Harry who worked when well called on even which took concentration.

COMMENTS 1
Andrew Brierley said about 1 hour ago:
Bobby played like Gary Cahill, Joleon Lescot and Jagielka all in one.
Keep up that grit and determination and the World Cup 2020 could be lucky to have him.

Sorry just really needed to brag, we are so proud and best of all he was proud of himself.
