Back to the 80's

The challenge theme this week is a colour combo, over at Die Cut Dreams. The colours are wait for it, are you ready.......................................Orange and Hot Pink.
Well it has made me think, a real challenge, not two colours I would put together at all. All i could think of with these colours was the 80's, vibrant fingerless gloves and leg warmers. My daughter wears them now in blacks, reds etc, a bit more of gothic colours I think. But she thinks they have invented them and doesn't believe I have already been there Lol!

So thank you Pops, my birthday present came in handy. I have used 80's Anya from TGF.

This is for the following challenges:-

1. ABC Challenges - F is for Flowers

Recipe:-

Stamps - TGF 80's Anya, Sentiment ticket Bizzy becs, Polkadoodles Poinsettia stamp

Papers - Dovecraft Wild Blossom,

Colouring Mediums - H20's, Distress Inks,

Tools - Nesties, cuttlebug, flower punches,

Embellishments - gems, stickles, ribbon,

Have a great week and thank you for popping by

Christmas Anya

This is for:-
1. Anyone For Anya? - "Make A Fake"
2. Sketch and Stash - challenge 24 - sketch

At Anyone For Anya the challenge is to "make a fake", so on my Anya I used flock as fake fur.
Sketch and Stash has a fab sketch this week and you have to name your new, never used or neglected stash. Mine is using Flock for the very first time, I think I need to use it a couple of times to get the hang of it.

To be honest not keen on the feel of Flock after using it for the very first time on this card, it's like cotton wool and I don't like the feel of that either. it makes me cringe, but i do like the result with the flock.

Well I want to apologise if I'm not getting around to everyone's blogs for a visit, as my two boys are not very well at the moment. My eldest has tonsilitis and a cough which is making is chest sore. And my youngest has croup again with rather a nasty chesty cough, sore throat and runny nose during the day and blocked at night.
Last night was bad, one or the other of the boys had me up at least every hour, they couldn't sleep, then there was steaming in the bathroom for the croup, then one of them needed a drink etc... etc. But what I can't understand is how can they be up all night then awake all day too.
But bless them they are suffering and I rang the emergency doctors but they are not classed as an emergency, so I was told just to keep them on simple linctus and paracetamol.
So I'm shattered but will try and get round to as many blogs as I can.

DT Card - Pink and Sparkly

This card is my DT Card for challenge # 2 over at Susie's Sassy challenge and the theme is "Pink and Sparkly". So fun can be had with this one as you can get your glitters and gems out, and have a great time using as much sparkle as you want. This is the great prize on offer this time

I had some problems getting sparkle to show on my photo, after a day of dullness and rain the only picture I could get then had a lot of background. But it made me grit my teeth and have a go at cropping a photo. But now I can't remember how to do it again, what a dunce Lol!

This card is also for:-
1. Allsorts - week 27 - Anything made for a child
2. Create 4 Fun - week 46 - sketch

Allsorts asked us to do anything made for a child, and this is for any little girl who dreams of being a ballerina.
Create 4 Fun have given us a sketch and it was great to use.

Please play along with us over at Susie's Sassy Challenge, it's a great challenge which you can combine with other challenges and it's worth giving it a go for the fab prize.

No Laundry Today

This card is for:-

1. Simon Says Stamp - "Thinking of you"

2. Creative Inspirations - challenge 21 - "A Pocket"

3. Anyone For Anya? - "Getting round to it"

4. Incy Wincy Designs - challenge 18 - "Purple"

I thought I had better get some photos of this card now before the sun goes in, I hate all this photography business, i'm so rubbish at it. I've put some of my flowers on, that I found hiding away in the bottom of my cupboard.

Simon says Stamp want something that says "Thinking Of You" and on my make the book mark reads "No laundry today, reading only", i'll give this to someone and will write in it "put your feet up and take it easy".

Creative Inspirations is to use a pocket, and my pocket it on the inside and holds a bookmark or it will hold vouchers etc.

Anyone For Anya? are using circles this week, so I put Laundry Anya on a die cut circle, which is from Die Cut Dreams.

Incy Wincy Designs have the theme of "Purple", and it's there on my card, in quite a few different shades.

Have a great day

Happy crafting

Waiting For Santa

This card is for:-
1. Die Cut Dreams - challenge # 22 - "snow & Sketch
2. Fab's Christmas Challenge - week 45 - Diva, Hanging card or wavy frame
3. Anyone For Anya - 3 2 1 Recipe

This cute little girl made me think, when painted in Christmas colours she looks like she's waiting for Santa to come. I stamped Snuggle Anya onto a Die cut shape from Die Cut Dreams, and the top paper is a vellum.
Die Cut Dreams gave us a sketch to work with and a theme of snow, my snow is the stickled snowflakes that are sizzix die cuts.
Fab's Christmas challenge theme this week is either one of the following or all three, Diva, Wall Hanging or Wavy frame. Well I think Anya is a little Diva in her own right and she is stamped on to a wavy frame. So I've used two out of the three choices. And he is sponsored by my friend Susie from Die Cut Dreams this week.
Anyone For Anya? is a Recipe - 3 papers, 2 buttons and 1 bow, you will find my buttons and bow in the centre of my snowflakes and I've used three papers.

Have a lovely weekend all,
Happy crafting

Skateboarding

This card is for:-
1. Anyone For Anya? - Patriotic Anya
2. Sketch And Stash - Challenge # 22 - Sketch

This card is for an order, I was asked for a skateboard theme for a Nephew. It also fits with a couple of challenges, Anyone For Anya? who's theme is Patriotic Anya. What they want is to use the colours of the flag which represents your own country. So mine is Red, White and Blue for Great Britain, the Union Jack. Then I've used the sketch on Sketch and Stash and you have to name your new or neglected stash. My new stash was some boys embellishments which I used the skateboard from.

Peace Maker!

This card is for:-
1. Anyone For Anya? - You're Anya
2. Truly Scrumptious - challenge # 17 - sketch
3. Crafty Creations - challenge # 36 - "All shades of pale"

Anyone for Anya? wanted us to use the Anya that was most like ourselves. After a long think I chose Peace Anya, as that is what I am at home most of the time "the peace maker". With three kids and a husband and five pets, things don't run very smoothly sometimes.
Truly Scrumptious gave a brilliant sketch and at the end of the three strips that they put on the sketch I decided to put a daisy on the end of each one. The daisies were punched out with love by my three year old, Bobby.
Crafty Creations theme is "All shades of pale" and I don't know why I picked these colours, pale blue and cream. I'm not even a blue person, but I do like the combo.

I have used some stickles on the flowers and around the sentiment. The papers are Blueberry Hill. I don't know why but the card seems to have a green tint on this photo, I've taken it about five times but I can't get it any better.
