At Stamping Sensations this month the theme is 'Floral Fancies' So it doesn't have to be Christmas flowers like mine, it can be any type of flower.  I have used Poinsettias, my background is stamped and then embossed in gold, I die cut my red Poinsettia with spellbinder dies, I don't know what brand the sentiment stamp is but I like it on this tag.

And now onto my second challenge creation for Penny black & More @ Allsorts, where the theme is 'Black, White plus One' So you can use black and white plus any other colour you like, I chose gold for this challenge.  I die cut and layered up using Marianne dies, I stamped my Penny Black image in the centre and die cut my sentiment.

Making Jam

What a mixed week, mainly lovely weather but with some real varied rain showers thrown in, mainly whilst I was on my morning walks. I've been doing some long walks to try and get my weight loss moving again.  I'm at Weight Watchers and after a 30 lb loss so far, I seemed to have come to a bit of a halt, but that changed after starting to walk with a 1 1/2 lb loss last week then 3 lb loss this week, so although I don't like hot weather I am hoping for dry weather.
Now onto today's post, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Mervi's turn to host and she would like to see 'Strawberries & Cream'
Here is what I did, I used a Penny Black stamp as a motif onto an Apron I made from a polkadoodles template, I added wooden Strawberry buttons, Strawberry ribbon, and fab papers by Raspberry Road Designs.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

4. Totally Papercrafts - challenge # 36 - The Great Outdoors

I put this in an earlier post this morning, but just put it again incase you didn't see it in my last post - thank you
I have been struggling this last couple of weeks, last week I started with a bad back and was put on 4 lots of tablets, some very strong that made me terribly drowsy, I hate that feeling and it did make it hard to blog. Then Monday I woke up with a bit of a sore throat, by the afternoon I couldn't even swallow water, I managed to get in at the doctors and he said I had severe tonsilitis, they have even bled, which I didn't know could happen. Yesterday my 4 year old Bobby started with a virus which includes a sore throat, so it's probably from me, but he's at home with me and no school, and were giving each other lots of warm cuddles.

But hopefully i'm on the mend now, but feel I have missed so much in blogland and If I have done anything on the computer over this time it has been mainly DT Work. So a big apology for not visiting you and hopefully i'll back into the swing of things shortly.

Thank you for being so understanding and for all your well wishes.

Thank you for popping by, and have a good wekend

Christmas Reindeer

Polkadoodles are doing a new range of stamps, this lovely pair of Reindeer is among them, and are from the Stamp Doodles range. The papers are from the CD Paper boutique 2 - Creative Christmas. I love the clean simple look of this stamp, it allows for some nice bright papers.

This is for :-
Die Cut Dreams Christmas - challenge #36 - Christmas furry things
Papertake weekly - Animal Magic

Sorry ladies a bit of a long post!

Last Sunday I started with a bad back, in the lower right side of my back. But all week I managed to cope with it and moving around helped it the most. Pain killers didn't even touch the pain. So the back end of the week it had started to ease off, then Friday (yesterday)morning I bent to take the washing out of the washing machine and up it flared again. OMG what a terrible night I had last night, I went to bed late 11.45pm thinking the later I went the more I would sleep, only to wake at 1.00am to go to the toilet, and couldn't move anything from my waist down as it was extreme agony. 1 hour later I had managed to roll out of bed with a thud and crawl crying to the bathroom. My hubby was trying so hard to help me. Eventually I managed to get to my feet and walked in a crouched and very crooked way downstairs. By now I was losing my breath and sweating profoundly. The only way I could cope after taking painkillers was to try and sort of walk round, I couldn't sit at all. At 4.00 am there was no improvement and the pain was constant and getting worse, so my hubby phoned a doctor out, after some strong words from me, as I don't really go to the docs unless I really have to I was willing to see the doc. 5.00 am the Doctor turned up and what a lovely man he was too, really sympathetic and understood my pain straight away.
He examined me and asked lots of questions while I was pacing round in circles, then told me I had either a muscle spasm or trapped nerve. Then he started reeling off the medication he was giving me, four lots of tablets. He had a dose of each in his car to put me on until john went to the chemist. I try not to take medication if I can help it but the pain is that bad I would take anything at the moment.
So today I have been following the docs advice, if I can manage to sit, it can't be no more than 20 mins. So as my craft desk is at the back of my lounge i have been cutting out butterflies and inking them, you may have seen them on some of my cards. I do a couple then go for a little walk round. As for the computer I can manage 10 mins at a time, but then it's agony to get back onto my feet.

Dreading bedtime though, don't want to go through what I went through last night.

Luckily I made this card the other day and it hasn't been posted on my blog yet, I found today it would fit these challenges, so as I cannot make any at the moment, I would use this one.

But on a brigher note, some good has come out of this I will have lots of little butterflies to use, and the rest of the scraps from where I cut the butterflies out I am using little heart punches and snowflakes etc to use up the scraps

So this is my weekend I do hope your all having a better one than me. And sorry to offload this on you, but depending on how the painkillers work, it will determine how I will be able to get round blogger.

Happy crafting

Beautiful Butterflies

This week at Polkadoodles it's another sketch. We had to do a shaped flap and no fabric or ribbon to be used. Have I ever done a card without ribbon or a bow, don't think I have.

I have rotated the sketch

All the elements are from the All Around And Everywhere CD and Paper Boutique. The Image is from the Back To Nature CD, which can be found here.
I have made my favourite butterflies, I use them a lot. I make them using a small stamp from a set called Fairy Flutterfliy - Meeshelle, and they get a total coating of stickles.

This is also for:-

1. Aud Sentiments - challenge # 10 - Sentiment - Best Wishes

My baby started full time school on Wednesday, Bobby is only four, and same with my two older children it always feels too soon for them to be going. The house is silent and I've done more baking and cleaning than ever. He was very proud of his new uniform, and he let me go with out a fuss although he had tears in his eyes, and I could see the nerves showing through the brave smile. When I picked him up he said he'd had a good day, when we got home I opened his lunch box and it was empty apart from two slices of apple. Now at home he's a fussy eater and never finishes anything. He must have worked up an appetite. Just so glad he has settled well, It was me that was shedding the tears Lol!

The lovely Lisa has given me this award.

You are supposed to pass this on to 7 ladies, but I had this award a couple of weeks ago, so I would like to say if you pop by my blog and like what you see please take this award with my love.

Have a great weekend
