In The Garden-0




 











Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.

This week is our lovely Helene's turn to host and she would like to see 'My Lovely Garden'

First I created a background using Distress oxides, then stamped on it with a script stamp in Iced Spruce as I didn't a bold colour.  I die cut two frames and stamped my image in the small one.  I coloured the image with Distress inks.  Made some clouds using a Clarity cloud mask.

Springtime

It's the first Sunday of March and so that means a new month for Stamping Sensations and Penny black & More @ Allsorts challenges, if you didn't get the chance to join in last month's challenges these could be the ones for you.
























At Stamping Sensations this month the theme is 'Close To Nature',  I adore Sarah Kay and this is my favourite stamp from the range.  I used a mixture of dies some from the Tattered Lace Side Stepper die set which has proved to be really useful as it's such a big set, from the set I used the bow and cut it twice, the roses,rectangles,  sentiment and butterfly is also from the set.  The fence is a Marianne designs die and I love using it.

And now onto my second challenge creation for Penny black & More @ Allsorts, where the theme is 'Anything Goes'  I'm using one of the new stamps from Penny Black called Red Blush, but I went yellow for friendship.  After I coloured the rose I put little droplets on, to represent dew using Glossy Accents.  For the background I embossed using a Tattered Lace folder and highlighted it with some Gilding Wax.  It was my first time using Gilding wax and I need a bit more practice, but I quite like the effect.



We have prizes from Penny Black, Marianne Designs, Fantastic Ribbons, Chalkola Now isn't that a lot of prizes, definitely worth getting your stamps out isn't it!!!!!!

Shhhhh..... He's Coming

That Summer Feeling

Spring Flowers






















Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Susan's turn to host and she would like to see 'Spring Flowers'
Here is what I did, I used this beautiful Sarah Kay stamp, and decided to choose my papers so I could colour her to match the papers.  I adore these papers and fit the theme so well.  The die is a freebie I just got in a magazine, it's fab and I cut one green and one pink then cut out the pink flower and layered it on top of the green one.

Today's News:-
It is my youngest Son's Birthday today, Bobby will be 9 years old, OMG how the time goes so quickly.  He's my cheeky, gorgeous and funny little boy.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!  So he's requested Pizza's for dinner, not good for my weight watchers and a shopping trip to spend his Birthday money.  We are having a bit of a tea party as he didn't want a big party this year.  And he has his football training too this morning so a busy day.

Something Sweet






















This is my first post of 2015, Happy New Year to you all, it's a new challenge for Stamping Sensations and Penny black & More @ Allsorts challenges, if you didn't get the chance to join in last month's challenges these could be the one for you.

At Stamping Sensations this month the theme is 'Dies & Punches', So get out your amazing dies and fabulous punches and join us please.  I used multiple dies and punches, the fence, birdhouse and bird are all from a Marianne designs (Creatables), then I stamped my image on to a shape cut with another of Mariannes designs.  My flowers were cut using sizzix Framelits, while the leaves were done with a signature die (Joanna Sheen) and finally the butterflies were done with a punch.  Dies and punches are my favourite to use for embellishments, especially flowers.

Christmas Mail





















Good Morning bloggers, not long to go till the man in the red suit comes, are you all organised?  I'm not which is so unusual for me. But had some family and health issues which has knocked me of my game for the last few months. Next year I am going to be organised so I can enjoy it all more.
 It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Jo's turn to host and she would like to see 'White Christmas'
Here is what I did, I used this gorgeous Sarah Kay stamp, thank you Brenda she will be well used, and decided to use lots of glamour dust, and highlighted the white with Antique Linen Distress Inks to tone with the colour of her hat and coat and to help show the embossing. I  find it really hard not to use an actual image on my cards as the focal point, but the rest of my card is white which is what Jo is looking for.

From Autumn To Christmas























Hi all,
And welcome, it's a new month for Stamping Sensations and Penny black & More @ Allsorts challenges, if you didn't get the chance to join in last month's challenges these could be the ones for you.

At Stamping Sensations this month the theme is 'Warm Autumn Colours' So get out your browns, oranges, yellows etc............ I chose this sweet Sarah Kay image and coloured her in Autumn colours and the papers have apples and leaves on and just scream Autumn to me. To help the autumn colours along I distressed everything with Vintage Photo.  I really enjoyed making this card, even though my mojo keeps going walkabouts lately.

Sunshine Colours






















Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Brenda's turn to host and she would like to see 'Warm Sunshine Colours'
Here is what I did, I used a Sarah Kay stamp, they always say summer to me. Lots of layers on this card so I could use several pieces of this design paper as I think this Garden Party pad screams sunshine colours to me too.  The flowers are die cut from an old book I use for this reason.  I just inked the edges and added pearls, and also some pearls on stems and stickles to the centre.

Purple Passion

Sweet Apples






















Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Catherine's turn to host and she would like to see 'Autumn Colours'
Here is what I did, I used one of my favourite Sarah kay stamps, I love colouring her and I had a dress just like that with the apron over the top when I was little, and decided to use my favourite, well used Nitwit papers.  Then I put my spellbinder dies into action to do something different with the edge of my card.

A Christmas Project












































Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.

I decided to do a candle in a gift box, and used acetate for the windows of the gift box.  I used a Sarah Kay image and I think he's my favourite Santa and one that comes out every year.

Mt daughter Jodie got her exam results on Thursday, she was worried about them, but I knew she had nothing to worry about:-
Maths  - B
English - B
History - B
Science - C
ICT - Distinction
 
So now in year 11 she is going a bit further on her English to get an A* and can take up a new subject which she has decided to take RE, now this subject is so different to what it was when I was at school.  I couldn't believe the subjects it covers, arranged marriages, abortion, war etc.......

So really proud of her, WELL DONE Jodie!!!
