For Mum With Art Deco

A really quick post today, I have so many cards to make this week.

But first I would like to apologise to my fellow blogging buddies for not getting round to your blogs, over the last couple of days "MR BLOGGER" has been playing silly games with me, he won't let me leave comments on blogs, I do hope this is just a temporary thing and will amend itself. He's also playing about with my posts, he won't let me publish my posts with any line spacing in them, so I then have to go back in and edit in HTML. I do know some of my blogging friends have had some similar problems so at least he isn't just doing it to me LOL!

This is for the following challenges:_
1. Paperplay challenge - week 12 - Distressing
2. Stampin' For The Weekend - challenge # 6 - For Mum
3. Allsorts - week 96 - For A Special Lady
4. 2 Sisters Challenge - challenge 32 - Make Your Own Embellishments
5. Fab 'N' Funky - challenge # 66 - Shabby Chic
6. Ladybug Crafts Ink - challenge # 21 - Handmade Flowers

Have A good day

Now I would like to thank all you lovely bloggers that sent well wishes for my eldest Son Scott, who had his operation yesterday and is now at home.
The operation went well although the surgery was more than we originally anticipated, it actually looks like something out of a horror movie, not that I watch them. There is a lot of exposed flesh, and we have to follow quite a few rules, but i'm sure it will all be worth it in the end. And Scott was a star, he did really well and coped brilliantly.

Thank you for stopping by my blog, I hope you have a good week.

Spring Garden

Hi Everyone,
Thank you for popping by my blog, today it's a Design Team make for Die Cut Dreams, the theme being "Spring Garden Scene". And the prize is a Guest Design team spot, the rest of the lovely ladies on the team have made gorgeous creations, so do pop on over to take a look.

I'm spending the day with my Mum and Sister today, trying to get some sanity back after a bit of a weekend from hell. I'm picking my eldest son some new PJ's and a few bits up as he goes in hospital next Monday for an operation, sounds a bit gruesome and painful actually. He's having his Pallette dug away to have a contraption fitted with chains on it as he has two teeth growing backwards through the pallette. This has happend as he still has three baby teeth left in and he's fifteen, they will be taking the baby teeth away, two at the top, and the one at the bottom, the bottom one will come out, but they don't know what they will do as the adult tooth is laying side ways in his gum. After the op and the swelling has calmed down he'll have a special brace fitted to start turning and pulling the teeth into place. They say it will take about three years for this to all work. The sad thing is at the moment all his teeth are perfect, no fillings and all lovely and straight, but because of the baby teeth still being their, it has pushed the new adult teeth into the wrong place. Maybe our own dentist should have pulled the baby teeth before now.

Any way enough of that, my nerves will be all over the place this time next week. Life deals us some rubbish, but I suppose i'm a hell of a lot luckier then some.

A few challenges I would like to put this in for:-
1. A Spoonful Of Sugar - challenge 140 - Birthday Wishes
2. Paperplay Challenges - week 8 - Let's Get Sentimental
3. Sweet Stampin' - Oh So Girly
4. Incy Wincy - challenge # 83 - Spring is in the air

Colouring Mediums - Distress Inks, Big 'N' Juicy,
Embellishments - ribbon, gems, book plate, brads, stickles, flowers,

With Sympathy

Good morning Ladies, we awoke this morning to a carpet of white, yes heavy snowfall and still snowing. Sadly this card, a Sympathy card, is not the kind I like to make and only ever have made one before, and it was a decoupage one.

My sisters next door neighbour and friend died this week at the age of 41 (OMG that is my age, so frightening), she died of lung cancer and never smoked in her life. My heart goes out to her family, she has two children and a devoted husband. Life seems so unfair.

My sister asked me to make her a Sympathy card and I didn't have any suitable stamps, so I used this church window which had Hollyhocks in by Judikins, I masked the flowers and embossed in gold the window. Then cut out the centre and stamped some Lillies from Great Impressions to go in the window instead. My sister was pleased with it, I'm not too sure, don't know if it could have done with something else on it or if then it would be too fussy for the occassion.

This is for the following challenges:-
1. Allsorts - week 91 - Inspired by nature (Lillies are my piece of nature)
2. Creative Inspiration Wednesday - challenge 99 - Plain & Simple
3. 2 Sisters Challenge - challenge 27 - Embossing (my window is embossed wth gold powder)

So because of the snow, I think today my crafty space is gonna get some much needed organising, especially my stamps. I'm putting them onto some laminated sheets and then into lever arch folders. I am also making my own catalogue of stamps to save me searching through my wood mounted stamps and my others, as my wood mounted are stored in trolley's with drawers. I have been trying to blog this week but I have my sisters old monitor as mine has broken, and it is blurry, so my eyes are getting a bit out of focus. So if I haven't visited you in the last wek I will try my best to pop by. It's just hard to sit looking at the screen for long lengths of time.

Recipe:-
Stamps - Judikins 23561, Great Impressions K47, Dovecraft sentiment,
Papers - Papermania Exquisite,
Colouring Medium - Distress Inks
Tools - Embossing Powder, heat gun, border punch,
Embellishments - ribbon, stickles,

Thank you for popping by my blog.

Baby Girl

This is for this weeks challenge at Die Cut Dreams, the theme is a Baby card "It's A Girl". The girls have all made fabulous creations and great prize up for grabs too.
I have used a Digi I won from Bugaboo a while back and never used, i'm not one for Digi's much but she is really cute.

This is for:-
Cupcake Crafts - #129 - "I love you" Use a heart

What a weekend, I've had Bobby down with a tummy bug and a cold, then I switched on my computer on Sunday morning and my Monitor has packed up. So I have had to borrow a really old one from my sister till I can get a new one. It's not very sharp, it seems to be a bit blury, the hubby has messed with all the contrast buttons etc, and nothing, but maybe it's just old. So i'm now behind with my blogging, i've lost a whole day more or less due to the monitor.

Recipe:-
Stamps - Bugaboo, Polkadoodles Butterfly,
Colouring Mediums - Promarkers, Distress inks,
Tools - embossing powder, cricut,
Embellishments - Nappy pin, ribbon, gems, stickles,

Thank you for popping by today, have a good week.

Lots Of Hearts

This week at Die Cut Dreams we have the theme of "Lots Of Hearts But No Words", and as always the Design Team have come up with gorgeous creations and there's always a fab prize up for grabs. So if you've got hearts pop on over and join in. I decided to use one of my favourite Whiff Of Joy stamps, Melinda blowing kisses.

I thought I would have had more to show you today, as yesterday my Hubby John and all three kids went to Withernsea to see Johns Parents. His Dad has been in hospital and only got out out Saturday, they are doing tests as they have found growths on his Prostate. Well you know what they say "All the best laid plans and all that", They left at 10.30am, so I thought I would hoover round and do some polishing, then I prepared a Sunday Dinner for when they came home. Then my mum rang and asked if I wanted to go to hers for a cuppa. I got back from my mams and looked at my craft desk and then thought I would tackle the ironing first. Then the dogs needed walking and the cat needed groooming. Before I knew it John and the kids were home and I had done no crafting or blogging. Oh well I suppose we have to put crafting off sometimes and put the housework first.

This is also for the following challenges:-
