Today's News
Had a rotten week didn't think I would get this card done and on.  Last Monday my cat died, old age took her at the age of 13 years, she was called Baby and has been part of our family since she was 8 weeks old.  So the family has been so distraught.
Then Bobby became poorly with a virus and was off school all week, then Thursday I went down with flu and to finish a really rubbish week off John my hubby went down with the flu on Saturday.
Here's to a new week and hopefully a better week.

Dracula & The Damsel

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Wendy's turn to host and she would like to see 'Use Ribbon But No Bows'
I used an image from Scrappers Delight, and they have some fabulous images, the one I used is Dracula and Damsel.  The ribbon I have used (without a bow which was hard for me to do) is from Crafty Ribbons.

This card will be for my daughter, it's her kind of thing which is why I chose to use the coffin shape.  I suppose some people will think it's more of a Halloween style, but my daughter loves anything like this.  I heat embossed the coffin with silver embossing powder as it seemed a bit too plain in the black, I added a couple of bats to finish off.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

Here are the prizes on offer:-

3 images
Prize- 3 Images of choice.

Our other sponsor this week is

Recipe:-
Stamps - Scrappers delight, Daisy and dandelion bat stamps,

Colouring Mediums - Promarkers,
Tools -nesties, cuttlebug,
Embellishments - ribbon

In Times Gone By

Good morning blogging friends, it's a new month for Stamping Sensations and Penny black & More @ Allsorts challenges, if you didn't get the chance to join in last month's challenge this could be the one for you.

At Stamping Sensations this month the theme is Ribbons, Buttons &/or Bows. As Nicecrane is our sponsor this time, the team are using his images.  I adore the one I chose which is Magical Names, but then again I do love vintage.  His images are amazing and he has such a lot of choice.  Some of his images are pre-coloured and some are lined for you to colour yourself.  I chose to colour mine myself with my promarkers.  And to explain with these images, the sentiment scroll is blank and you add a sentiment or a name yourself, which I liked.  You can find the images here:-
http://nicecranedesigns.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=99_100&products_id=1205

2. Crafts 4 Eternity - #157 - Very Vintage
3. Crafty Calendar - Let's Celebrate (celebrating birthday)

And now onto my second challenge creation for Penny black & More @ Allsorts, where the theme is 'Love & Romance',  So you can use your hearts and love images for this challenge.  I used a Transparent stamp of these cute hedgies with roses.  These blank cards were a gift, and I haven't used them before, but did enjoy playing with them.  I couldn't use my DP with them so got inky instead.  I liked how it turned out, I'm always nervous of trying something different.

We have prizes from Penny Black, Crimson Cloud, Crafty Devils and Flonz Craft. Now isn't that a lot of prizes, definitely worth getting your love and romance stamps out isn't it!!!!!!

Now if you would like to be a GDT for us, all you need to do is make a creation to fit the theme following our rule.

Golden Love

Good Morning, well the New Year is almost upon us, and time for people to be making their New Years resolutions, I don't make them, as I believe I should be able to make changes at any time of the year if I really want to. But do understand that doing resolutions do help people to do something they want to. What do you do?
It is time for a midway reminder of our theme over on the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge, this time it was our lovely Sue's turn to choose the theme and she chose "Use Silver Or Gold" - I chose to use Gold for my second card, and the stamp Tails Of True Love HMGR1009. I went for some subtle vintage papers this time and used dies to make my embellishments.  I wanted to keep the whole thing soft and subtle.
Of course you must use a House MouseHappy Hopper or Gruffie to join in.

Vintage Gifts

Good Morning,
Well Christmas Eve is here and I have three excited kids waiting for tomorrow, can't believe how quick this Christmas has come round.  Everything is all done, just going to get the hoover out and one last dust round, all the shopping is done, so if I have forgot something we will do without LOL!
I just have my Christmas Eve trip to my sisters to see the twins before they go off to their Dads tomorrow, and we have an early Christmas day where we exchange presents today and are very naughty and open them too.  Well me and my sister like to see the kids faces when they open them.

This is quite a long post, well picture heavy anyway.  These are last of my Christmas gifts I have made, and all the images used are from the lovely Ignacio from Nicecrane, there are links to all images at the bottom of this post.

 I Design For

 Right lets get to it:-
In this picture you can see Candles with matching gift boxes and also a tree decoration and gift box to go with it.

Below is two gift boxes that I designed myself to fit the candles, I had to allow for the doily and the flowers when sizing this up, then re-inforced all the sides and bottom as the candles are fairly heavy.  Now they are really solid and hopefully if the candles aren't lit and used for decoration the boxes will keep the candles in good condition till next year.

Now I did four different images around the boxes and a fifth on the candles, there are five images on this sheet from Nicecrane (see below)

Here are the lids, I made Poinsettias for the lid and the candle, each flower has three layers, my arm was killing after winding my Grand Calibur god knows how many times.  I used an A4 embossing folder instead of DP for the gift boxes, I really liked the finished result and made a change from my normal vintage papers.

OK we can't have one without Santa Claus on can we, and I do love a vintage Santa.

Here is a view to another side of the box:-

Now a bit ago I made a tree decoration using the Nicecrane pyramid sheet, and it needed a gift box so I could give it as a present:-

Aww my decoration has slid down in the box through propping it up, the box fits perfectly too.

Well I hope this gave you some inspiration for gifts for next Christmas, I thoroughly enjoyed making them all, and do hope they will be well received by my family.

So now for the links to the Nicecrane images I have used:-
A Joyful Christmas

Christmas Ball By Bowyle (pyramid style)

Vintage Santa Save Pack

Ignacio fixed and altered my photo's for me, thank you so much, they looks so much better, your clever for doing this!

This is for the following challenges:-
1. Crafting for all seasons - challenge # 67 - Anything Christmas But A card
2. Diva's by Design - Anything Goes
3. Deep Ocean - Something Old
4. Stampin' For The weekend - Anything Goes

Merry Christmas And A Very Happy New Year
