I Shall Be Your Wings

Hello everyone, happy Bank Holiday Monday to you all. This is a rare post for me as I found a little extra time to have a play this morning. although I was up at 6.00am,  that's right this is just for fun!
I love my new stamps from Chocolate Baroque that arrived on Saturday, they are called I Shall Be Your Wings
I Shall Be Your Wings Rubber Stamp sheet - A5

I made this card so I could enter the Chacolate Baroque Rainbow challenge.  So I started with a strip of card and using Brusho's I created stripes of colour with the powder before spraying with water to activate them.  Then I stamped a feather with versamark then embossed with white embossing powder.  I added some sparkle with a quickie glue pen and Glamour Dust.  the sentiment comes in the set.

I hope you all have a nice relaxing day, I've got shopping, cleaning and ironing to do, but at least I got some crafting in this morning while they were all in bed.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:-
1. Cute Card Thursday - #649 - Inky
2. Crafty Creations - #412 - Anything Goes

Recipe:-
Stamps - Chocolate Baroque - I shall be your wings,
Colouring Medium - Brusho's,
Tools - Embossing powder, heat gun,

Summer Fun In The Meadows

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Wendy's turn to host and she would like to see some 'Summer Fun'.
Well there's lots of Summer Fun going on in my Meadows.  So first up is some Hares frolicking in the meadow.  I made a keepsake file at an online workshop with the lovely Jo Rice.  My daughter claimed it straight away for work.  It was all made using Lavinia stamps, on a background brayered with Distress Oxides and stamped with Versafine Clair.
So then using a baked bean can I covered the rims with Gesso, I measured a piece of card to fit round the can, brayered a background with Distress Inks and stamped with Lavinia stamps, and yes my daughter claimed that too for work.  So I thought maybe she needs a coaster for work to go with the pen holder and file.  So everything on her desk at work matches, and she's very pleased with them.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

Here is the prize on offer:-

In The Sunshine

Welcome to a new month for Stamping Sensations and Penny black & More @ Allsorts challenges, if you didn't get the chance to join in last month's challenges these could be the ones for you.

At Stamping Sensations this month the theme is 'Make It Masculine'  Lighthouse scenes are always good for men.  I used two stamps the lighthouse with the rocks and then some sea with boats.  I just masked and filled in the rest of the sea with a fine liner pen.  The sky was done using a stencil brush with distress inks and so was the sun through a mask.  I coloured it all with Distress inks, which I enjoy using for that water coloured effect.

The prizes for this Month are:-

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is my turn turn to host and I would like to see 'Make It Masculine', and this challenge will last for two weeks.
Here is what I did, I used a stamp set from Chocolate Baroque - Do Right Always , these really do lend themselves to Masculine cards.  I loved the Teepee but wanted it to look old and authentic, I used some Kraft card, put a thin coat of Gesso on to tone it down then stamped it up.  I coloured it with water coloured pencils.

For the Totem Pole I made a distressed wood effect background using Distress Inks, then stamped  and coloured with Distress Inks.  I stamped my sentiment side ways to be a bit different

This week is our lovely Brenda's turn to host and she would like to see 'I Spy With My Little Eye Something Beginning With B'

My B is for Butterflies, Bluebells and Blue skies.
I started by creating a background using Distress Inks and a stencil brush, I then stamped some Lavinia foliage and Bluebells, added some glitter to the Meadow grass.  I then stamped and coloured some Chocolate Baroque butterflies from the stamp set Butterfly Mind.  I fussy cut the butterflies and added them to my card, shaping the wings so they stood out.  The sentiment is also from the same stamp set.

From The Very Large To The very Small

Welcome to a new month and new challenges for Stamping Sensations and Penny black & More @ Allsorts, if you didn't get the chance to join in last month's challenges these could be the ones for you.

At Stamping Sensations this month the theme is 'All Creatures Great & Small'  I chose to use a stamp from our very kind sponsor called On Safari (CI-390). I created a background using Distress Inks, then stamped the image over the top, I coloured my image and grass with Water coloured pencils.  The border was stamped using a tribal border stamp, a freebie from the Creative Stamping magazine. I added a Sentimentally Yours sentiment and then left it at that as I felt it really didn't need anything else

And now onto my second challenge creation for Penny black & More @ Allsorts, where the theme is 'In The Garden'  It would be nice if you could use a Penny black stamp but if not anything that ties in with our Garden theme is fine.

I chose the image as it's so cute, I coloured it with Distress Inks so I could match the image to the background which is created using Distress Oxides. I did the Bokeh effect on my background then overstamped with Lavinia Poppies and Meadow Grass.  I loved this background so much I intend to make a card using the same design without a focal image on top.

Blowing Bubbles

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is Helene's turn to host and she would like to see 'Summertime'

Nothing says summer like little ones playing with bubbles in the garden. We always stocked up on bubbles for the six week holidays, Scott and Jodie would try to burst them before the dogs did, Bobby preferred the bubble guns.  So my daughter managed to surprise me with the new Distress Oxide colour Speckled Egg and I love it, so it had to go on this card with a bit of Broken China. As this stamp is from the Nostalgic range I kept it quite simple and muted.  I did the background then stamped directly on to it, then coloured the image with Distress Inks.  I added some glossy accents to the bubbles.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

Everyone Needs A Thistlehog

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Lynn's turn to host and she would like to see 'So Cute'

A while a go at the start of lockdown my Daughter surprised me with these Thistlehogs from Pink Ink Designs, I've been waiting to use them and this is the perfect theme, as I think they are definitely SO CUTE.  At first I made a different card but it went in the bin, it took me a while to get my head around it because of it's size.  So when I got it's perspective and got my Lavinia foliage stamps out it started to come together on a gel plate and brusho's background.  There is sparkle on his wings and through the hanging foliage in various glitters and Glamour dust.
