Today I would like to remind you that we are mid way through the month for Stamping Sensations and We Love Chocolate Baroque challenges, there's plenty of time to join in and for some great prizes too.

At Stamping Sensations this month the theme is 'Favourite Stamps' My favourite stamps are Lavinia, the only problem I have is picking individual stamps from their range.
I did a workshop and made a type of stationary set, I adapted it to make this one, above you can see the front cover of the folder and then the inside.  Which houses a decorated notebook, a pen and three cards with matching envelopes in a pocket, I suppose it could be used for other things like packets of seeds, chocolate or even scratch cards etc...........

Notebook

Back cover of the folder
The backgrounds have all been made with Distress Oxides, all the stamps used are from Lavinia, I love making things like this.

Our prize this month is two lovely stamp sets from Penny Black,
We have a post on our challenge blog, please do read it as there are some important changes with future winners and our Top 3 selections.

And of course, the Design Team have created some stunners to inspire you. Please do pay them a visit to their individual blogs - it means a lot to know you appreciate their efforts.

And now onto my second challenge creation for We Love Chocolate Baroque, where the theme is 'Feminine'

Rainbow Blends

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.

This week is our lovely Lynn's turn to host and she would like to see 'Favourite Colour'

So mine isn't as much a favourite colour but a favourite colour blend, the three colours for my blend are distress oxides Cracked Pistachio, Squeezed Lemonade and Picked Raspberry.  I just love it, reminds me a of a rainbow effect.  So at Christmas to keep my mojo going I made some Christmas tags, something not too big and overwhelming and I really enjoyed doing them.  My mojo is still flagging so I'm just doing some tags here and there to try and keep me inspired.  And they'll come in handy for gifts too.

Garden Journal

Happy New Year, I hope you all had a peaceful and safe Christmas, it's a new month for Stamping Sensations and We Love Chocolate Baroque challenges, if you didn't get the chance to join in last month's challenges these could be the ones for you.

At Stamping Sensations this month the theme is 'Favourite Stamps' Well my favourite stamps are Lavinia, the only problem I have is picking individual stamps from their range.  I do adore animals so I think I tend to use the animal stamps a lot.
So my Sister had a request for me,to make her a Gardening Journal, as she grows some of her own plants for her garden.  She wanted sections for recoding her seeds and bulbs etc.... and to record and make notes of other things.  So I found a nice notebook that had four sections in it with tabs on.  I created a front page with a little verse on, then created a scene for each divider page and kept to an outdoors theme.  I gave her it at Christmas as a little extra with a Notebook and a Diary too.  She loves notebooks etc and was over the moon with them.

For this card I created a wreath like frame using some of the stamps from Chocolate Baroques Thistle Butterfly, I then took one of the main images and stamped it in the centre,  I used a stencil to create a back drop, then I added some Liquid Pearls around the wreath.

Our prize:-
Is the winners choice of an A4 Chocolate Baroque stamp set, or stamps to the same value. We will also be on the lookout for our next Featured Designer selected from entries using Chocolate Baroque stamps.

A Challenge Of Christmas gifts

This started as a MDF Tag, first one I've ever decorated.

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.

This is a plain black Diary for 2021 which is for a Birthday gift my Daughter is giving to her friend.

This is the Diary wrapped and tagged to match.

This week is my turn to host and I would like to see 'Anything But A Card' (with an anything goes option), There's lots of scope here, tags, notebooks, gift bags, or stationery sets etc.............

I created several items for this challenge, the Tag was a MDF tag which I covered with a 300gsm stamping card.  I created a background on it with oxides and some stamping.  I created a little scene on a smaller piece of card to sit in the centre and did some finishing touches with gilding wax, wooden butterflies and a coffee stirrer.
The Diary was a plain black one from Asda for 2021, my daughter wanted one decorating for her friends Birthday in December.  I needed a theme and my Daughter said she liked Game Of Thrones, so Zemira and dragons from lavinia certainly fit the bill.  The background was created using distress oxides, then mountains and grassland created with torn paper, I stamped images and flouishes and added highlights.
Then came wrapping for the Diary as my Daughter wanted something a little different, so first I wrapped it in tissue paper to protect it, then wrapped it in brown paper.  Tied it with string then decorated the paper in one corner and a tag to match the Diary inside.

Here is the prize on offer:-

Look At the Christmas Tree!

Good Morning bloggers, we have gone into tier 3 here in Leeds, I don't find it very hard as I don't really go out apart from shopping and I can still do that, and we have quiet Christmases since we lost our son. But I do see it is hard for other people. It's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts, maybe this will help through the lockdowns.

This week is our lovely Brenda's turn to host and she would like to see 'Christmas Flowers, Trees & Wreaths'

I started by creating my wreath, using Lavinia fir cone branch to form the circle, then filling in with mini holly and mini berry using Versafine Clair inks. Some I did second generation stamping to give depth.  Once I was happy with the formation I stamped a fir tree and a Hare in the centre, I used a Gelly roll pen to give a shimmer on the tree.  Then using a mask I did a moon in a contrasting colour of ink.  I went round the edge of the card blending Colorbox ink and then splashed with water and dried.  Around the outside of the wreath using a glue pen I added a glitter in rose bud glow to give some sparkle.  Finally with a white posca pen I added highlights then a sentiment.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.
