Yellow Florals

Good morning, I'm here now as a member of the Design Team and not a Guest, I was really chuffed to be promoted to the team and join all the other lovely members.

Here is two of my creations I made for the Septembers show, the one above is created using Chrysanthemum Blueprint , I decoupaged the image after colouring it with pencils and highlighting with a white gel pen.  I did some yellow ink splatters on the white of the card.  I then layered that on to another background I made by splodging ink on to acetate and then dipping my card into it.  It took a fair bit of time to do the fussy cutting but so worth it.
For this tag I firstly made a faux wood effect background and then made a pocket, which to me was like adding a window box or planter.  I again did some fussy cutting, I cut the Lupins from the Lupin Blueprint stamps out then coloured them, always cut first as they cut better then when they have been coloured.  I coloured with pencils and highlighted again.  I added a butterfly which is from Butterfly Mind set, and a sentiment from the Butterfly Perfumery set.

The Wonders Of Nature

Welcome, it's a new month for Stamping Sensations and We Love Chocolate Baroque challenges, if you didn't get the chance to join in last month's challenges these could be the ones for you.

At Stamping Sensations this month the theme is 'Animals, Birds & Bugs'
I don't know where to start with this creation, I've thrown everything at it to create this scene.  I actually started this one a little bit different by stamping the Bumble lodge first then masking it to do my inky background.  Then I coloured the lodge with pencils, then I started to build the scene with the various stamps, to see what I have used you can see in the recipe at the bottom of this post.  I added glitter for sparkle and some gold gel pen and white for highlights.

We have sponsorship this Month from

Stamp Addicts

And of course, the Design Team have created some stunners to inspire you. Please do pay them a visit to their individual blogs - it means a lot to know you appreciate their efforts.

And now onto my second challenge creation for We Love Chocolate Baroque, where the theme is 'Anything Autumn'
I started this by using Distress inks and applying them with stencil brushes to give a blended background.  I had put a moon mask on first, I then stamped the trees and sentiment. I shaded below the trees to give some shadow.

Two prizes this time:-
A £15 voucher to spend at Chocolate Baroque stamps and a Goody Bag, We will also be on the lookout for our next Featured Designer selected from entries using Chocolate Baroque stamps.

Blossom & Bees

Welcome to my blog from a very wet Leeds, you can tell when the school holidays come as we seem to get lots of rain.  My son Bobby spent the last couple of weeks in hot classrooms complaining when he came home, now it's raining most days, typical of school holidays.
It's a new month for Stamping Sensations and We Love Chocolate Baroque challenges, if you didn't get the chance to join in last month's challenges these could be the ones for you.

At Stamping Sensations this month the theme is 'Any Celebration' , I've gone with a Birthday Celebration for my card this week, I started by stencilling the background in a subtle pink oxide, I then stamped my image and coloured with Distress Inks.  And that's it really, simple but effective!

We have sponsorship this Month from
and the prize is:-

And of course, the Design Team have created some stunners to inspire you. Please do pay them a visit to their individual blogs - it means a lot to know you appreciate their efforts.

And now onto my second challenge creation for We Love Chocolate Baroque, where the theme is 'Favourite Stamps'  and my favourite from Chocolate Baroque is definitely  Honey Bee, I loved using these stamps for their shows in July so much, I've planted lots of flowers etc for the bees this year, it's great that in the garden centres the plants are labelled now to tell you which insects the plant will attract.
So to create this card I stamped the bees randomly on the background and coloured each one with Spectrum Noir markers, then my topper in the centre I stamped the hive and also coloured with markers too.  Matted and layered with black and yellow to finish.  There is also glitter on for some sparkle.

Our prize:-
Is the winners choice of an A4 Chocolate Baroque stamp set, or stamps to the same value. We will also be on the lookout for our next Featured Designer selected from entries using Chocolate Baroque stamps.
