More Christmas!
This is a shaped card, and I love this for younger children or a Baby's first Christmas. I added lots of glamour dust to his hat and made him a little christmas badge. I have never used templates before, but once they were printed out they just came together.
This last creation is from the coloured stampies section, and I printed out the image then chose some papers from the paper section where there is loads of gorgeous papers. I added stickles around the doily but it hasn't picked up on camera, and added some gold glitter to the wand and star.
Now I will be really honest I haven't really used CD-Roms before, until I become a DT member at Polkadoodles, but I have to say honestly that they are easy to use. And even if you just want some papers every CD has tons of gorgeous versatile papers on.
Have a great week

Christmas Come Early
My first sample is a door hanger I made, using the blank template which is just an outline of the reindeer (rudolph). I cut all the layers using different colours of card, added glossy accents and highlighted with a white gel pen to his nose, and added stickles to his hat and a bell for that little bit of extra festivity. I made the door hanger myself using my nesties.
This next creation is all printed out in seperate sections then I put them together and layered up to give a decoupage feel. For my sentiment I printed the centre from the CD and then made a frame for it out of my nesties on to mirror card. I glossed the holly and berries, then glittered the baubles, and added golden ros stickles to the flames in the fire.
I will show you the other two cards tomorrow, and I hope your watching the show and enjoy it.

Gone Fishing Again and New Distressing Tools!
It's week 24 on the Polkadoodles challenge, Now this weeks challenge has been chosen by Dee, the theme this week is Fathers Day/ Male theme. I have used the Not For Girls CD -Rom for my creation, and the image is from the Stampies section. The sentiment is done on the computer. The winner will receive a special blinkie for use on their blog and something scrummy from Polka Doodles! Runners-up will also receive Blinkies!
I have made this for my Dad whose birthday is in 2 weeks time and he's a fisherman so this image is ideal.
Last Friday evening I was getting a little angry with my Distressing tool, everytime I wanted to change my foam pad on it, the velcro kept coming away from the tool. After trying to give it a few sharp words my Hubby asked me what was wrong. I told him what was happening to the tool, he asked if I needed a new one then. I said no, it is with taking the pads on and off. I said I could do with wooden blocks for each colour. Saturday lunch time he came home from work with a strip of wood, and these are what he made me with a strip of wood and some velcro hook. They work great although a little rough looking, but he has said he will get some better wood now he knows they work and will sand and stain some new ones for me so they look better. But guess what I don't care if he doesn't do new ones as I like these and I love the thought he put into these. I have ten colours in distress inks, and hope to get some more eventually as I love using them, he said he'll just make more when I need them. bless him, he can be so thoughtful sometimes.
Have a great weekend

Think Pink!
I have read on some blogs that when people make a card and don't like it or are not sure about it, they still post it and reveal it is not one of their better ones, well thats what i'm doing today. I made it to fit three challenges and had the idea in my head, but when it was done and I looked at it, I wasn't sure about it, but i'm posting it anyway as I will show the bad as well as the good.

So Sweet
We've had nowt but rain on and off this week, so I have decided to go bright and cheerful with this one. I love House Mouse, but only have one of their stamps, there a bit on the expensive side for me. So I rely on candy wins and RAK's etc so I can play along with the challenges, but I do adore them, and last week I won one of the prizes on the House Mouse blog hop, it was Christine's (nanseaside), I got gorgeous flowers and lots of stamped images to keep me going for a while. Because of the card they are stamped on, it was a reason to bring out the Promarkers. And as the theme was sweets, i drew and glossed three handmade wrapped sweeties.
I would like to enter this for the following challenges:-
1. Friday Sketchers - challenge # 106 - Sketch (rotated)
2. Simon Says Stamp -Recipe - 1 Image, 2DP's, 3 Types of Embellies -( I chose the handmade sweets, ribbon, gems )
3. House Mouse - challenge # 71 - "Sweet"
4. Stamp Something - Happy Somethings (Iused a fun/happy image)
Recipe:-
Stamps - House Mouse, Sugar Nellie sentiment,
Papers - from a pick 'n' mix box,
Colouring Mediums - Promarkers, Broken china distress inks for the jar,

Old Macdonald Had A Farm
It's my second week on the Polkadoodles Design Team, and it's an enjoyable experience, the girls are all lovely.
Now this weeks challenge has been chosen by Nettie. Nettie is expecting a baby in under 8 weeks time now and has chosen the theme of Nursery Rhymes, And my sons favourite one is Old Macdonald - I have used the All Around And Everywhere CD -Rom for my background, I also used it for the animals which I cut out and put on with foam pads, the fence is from the same CD and cut it out and put on with more foam pads. I used the Fairy Flutterfly stamps to stamp my flowers and added gems. The sentiments are from the Candy Doodles CD -Rom. The Nursery Rhyme title has been added using word art.
The winner will receive a special blinkie for use on their blog and something scrummy from Polka Doodles! Runners-up will also receive Blinkies!
I have made this for Bobby's friend who will be 4 in a couple of weeks, only Bobby isn't too pleased as he wants to keep for himself, to put it at the side of his bed, so it looks like another couple of hours cutting out animals and peeling of those little squares of the back of tiny foam pads. Maybe when I get some time i'll do him one in a frame.
For all you lovely blogging friends who ask how Bobby's hair is doing, I though i'd take a photo to show you how it's growing, it still has lines and steps in it so there will have to be another close cut to get them out. (for those who don't know what i'm talking about see post lower down).
Recipe:-
Stamps - Papermania sentiments, See-D's numbers, Images - Polkadoodles, Flutterfly's flower stamp by polkadoodles,
Papers - PolkaDoodles
Tools - Cricut, nesties,
Embellishments - Gems, ribbon, foam pads, (all from stash)
Thanks for looking and have a nice weekend

Some News And My 1st Creation
So for my news, I have been invited to join the team over at Polkadoodles, they have the challenge blog to which I've just become a Design Team member for, but they also have a shop too which you can find here. Now I'm not much one for CD Roms as i'm a stamper at heart, but when I got my DT package through the post I couldn't get off the computer, I was browsing the CD-Roms and kept pressing the print button too. There is just so much yummy stuff on the CD-Roms.
They also have the most gorgeous stamps, the Fairy Flutterfly's are my favourites, they come in different designs but each girl comes with her own set of wings, which you can add or use them alone and they are a butterfly too. Also you get extra embellies to stamp and a sentiment, so you get your money's worth with them.
Now for my first creation for Polkadoodles which is above, it's for challenge week 22. The theme is Modern/Retro Anniversay as it's Lou's anniversay, Happy Anniversary Lou! And the winner gets something scrummie from Polkadoodles and a blinkie, there is also blinkie's for the runner ups too.
For my creation I used for my background papers the pink spot from the Love And Cherish CD, and the heart and gingham is from the All Around And Everywhere CD. My frame and flowers are also from the All Around And Everywhere CD Rom, and my butterfly is from the Meeshelle Fairy Flutterfly stamp set. Then I added ribbon stickles and fine glitter to my acetate Butterfly.
I would like to say a big THANK YOU to all the girls over at Polkadoodles, as they have made me feel so welcome and are a great bunch, they are Fabulous!
