From Summer To Winter

Welcome to my blog, a bit windy, grey and overcast here, but great for getting the washing dry.

I'm here with the mid month posts for Stamping Sensations and We Love Chocolate Baroque challenges, if you didn't get the chance to join in last month's challenges these could be the ones for you.

At Stamping Sensations this month the theme is 'Any Celebration' , I've gone with a Christmas Celebration for my card this week,  on Saturday I blogged a card with a summery design, and I liked the card so I have decided to use the design again but with a wintery scene for Christmas. I'm a bit of a novice when it comes to snow and totally rubbish at capturing sparkle on camera, and this has lots of sparkle.

We have sponsorship this Month from
and the prize is:-

And of course, the Design Team have created some stunners to inspire you. Please do pay them a visit to their individual blogs - it means a lot to know you appreciate their efforts.

And now onto my second challenge creation for We Love Chocolate Baroque, where the theme is 'Favourite Stamps'  and my favourite from Chocolate Baroque is definitely  Honey Bee, I loved using these stamps for their shows in July so much,  I decided to create a little concertina book and backgrounds with Distress Oxide for the base.  All the stamps are from the set, I thought it was a good way to showcase them.

Our prize:-
Is the winners choice of an A4 Chocolate Baroque stamp set, or stamps to the same value. We will also be on the lookout for our next Featured Designer selected from entries using Chocolate Baroque stamps.

Wild Hares With Sparkle

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Lorraine's turn to host and she would like to see 'Add some Sparkle'

I started this card by doing the background using Oxides and applying them with stencil brushes.  I added my images and the quote.  After colouring the tree I spotted some Posca  around to create blossoms.  Then added glitter to my tree and blossoms, it doesn't show very well at all.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

Here is the prize on offer:-

Stamps - Lavinia - tree of courage, tree of hope, wild hares set small, summers ebb, single fairy thistle,
Colouring Mediums - Distress Oxides, Distress Inks, Posca pens,

Blossom & Bees

Welcome to my blog from a very wet Leeds, you can tell when the school holidays come as we seem to get lots of rain.  My son Bobby spent the last couple of weeks in hot classrooms complaining when he came home, now it's raining most days, typical of school holidays.
It's a new month for Stamping Sensations and We Love Chocolate Baroque challenges, if you didn't get the chance to join in last month's challenges these could be the ones for you.

At Stamping Sensations this month the theme is 'Any Celebration' , I've gone with a Birthday Celebration for my card this week, I started by stencilling the background in a subtle pink oxide, I then stamped my image and coloured with Distress Inks.  And that's it really, simple but effective!

We have sponsorship this Month from
and the prize is:-

And of course, the Design Team have created some stunners to inspire you. Please do pay them a visit to their individual blogs - it means a lot to know you appreciate their efforts.

And now onto my second challenge creation for We Love Chocolate Baroque, where the theme is 'Favourite Stamps'  and my favourite from Chocolate Baroque is definitely  Honey Bee, I loved using these stamps for their shows in July so much, I've planted lots of flowers etc for the bees this year, it's great that in the garden centres the plants are labelled now to tell you which insects the plant will attract.
So to create this card I stamped the bees randomly on the background and coloured each one with Spectrum Noir markers, then my topper in the centre I stamped the hive and also coloured with markers too.  Matted and layered with black and yellow to finish.  There is also glitter on for some sparkle.

Our prize:-
Is the winners choice of an A4 Chocolate Baroque stamp set, or stamps to the same value. We will also be on the lookout for our next Featured Designer selected from entries using Chocolate Baroque stamps.
