It's In The Bag!!!!

Hello everyone, and welcome, it's a new month for Stamping Sensations and Penny black & More @ Allsorts challenges, if you didn't get the chance to join in last month's challenges these could be the ones for you.

At Stamping Sensations this month the theme is 'Autumn Glory', so for my image I did some masking, I stamped a Beatrix Potter image, then stamped it again on a post it note and covered the main image.  I then over stamped it with a Magnolia fence stamp to create a little scene.  After die cutting the labels I inked the edges with distress inks.  The background is a piece of patterened paper, that wasn't very detailed, I used A backgound stamp from The Stampman around the edge  and embossed with embossing powder.

We have sponsorship this Month from Penny Black with the following prize:-

And of course, the Design Team have created some stunners to inspire you. Please do pay them a visit to their individual blogs - it means a lot to know you appreciate their efforts.

And now onto my second challenge creation for Penny black & More @ Allsorts, where the theme is 'Colour Inspiration'
October colour inspiration

A princesses Birthday

The start of a new week and the start of a new challenge over at Die Cut Dreams, and as it was our Bosses (Susie's) Birthday on Saturday, in her honour the theme is "A Princess Birthday". And as Susie adores her Tilda's that is the image I used for this card.

I loved this blue and orange flowered paper and have been waiting to use it, even though it is an unusual colour combo. It is also a bit on the bright side for me, but we all need to do something different sometimes.

This is also for the following challenges:-
1. Totally Papercrafts - challenge # 65 - Recipe
2. One Stop Crafts - week 130 - Birthdays
3. Passion For Promarkers - week 98 - Fit for a Princess

Have a good week and thanks for stopping by my blog.

Tilda In Lemon

This weeks challenge at Die Cut Dreams is "Tilda In Lemon", i'm not a big fan of Tilda but I quite like this image. It was a candy I received from Susie some time ago. I love yellow but don't often use it, but it reminds me of spring days, when all the daffodils are out, it's my favourite season, so maybe I should use it more. And if you want to see how many different kinds of creations you can get using the same colourway, just pop by and take a look.

This is also for the following challenges :-

1. Creative Card Crew - Sparkle and Shine

2. Crafty Creations - challenge # 81 - Butterflies

3. Crafts And Me - challenge 11 - Petals And Pearls

4. Flutterby Wednesday - ~118 - 1 part sparkle, 2 parts papers, 3 parts gems

5. Totally Papercrafts - challenge # 30 - Summer fun (I chose to do summer colour)

Pretty In Pink!

Oooo my Hubby has bought me some new papers which are so gorgeous, I'm going back for some more, they are called Henbury Lane by Papermania. Some of them are already glittered, there's flowers and flourishes and sparkly ones. For my creation I used a corner stamp on my plainer paper which has a slight speckle and stamped with worn lipstick Distress Inks, them brushed some TH Perfect Pearls in Gold Heirloom on to the stamped corner. My ribbons, buttons and roses are from my stash. I thought I'd give my promarkers an airing and after following a PromarkerKnow How by Jak Heath which you can find here. I found it so much easier to do the skin, can't wait for more of her tutorials as i'm not too good with the markers, i'm more of a brush and ink girl.

I would like to enter this into the following challenges:-

1. Just Magnolia - week 53 - Sketch

2. Die Cut Dreams - challenge # 46 - Tilda In Pink

3. Incy Wincy Designs - challenge # 40 - Anything Goes

4. ABC Challenge - T is for Thankyou

5. Passion For Promarkers - week 50 - Gratitude

It is Sir Stampalot's second challenge, it's the month of May and what better theme than Butterflies and Blossoms, a whole range of Tim Holtz stash is on offer this month, go on pop on over and take a look.

Thank you for stopping by and leaving me such lovely comments.

Vintage Magnolia

This is for:-
1. Just Magnolia - week 43 - sketch
2. Simon Says Stamp - Vintage with flowers
3. Sophisti-cats - challenge 23 - Embossing wet or dry
4. Saturday Spotlight - "Doing the mess around"

5. C.R.A.F.T. - challenge 39 - Ribbons and Sparkle

6. Cute Card Thursday - challenge 101 - Ribbon

I really enjoyed making this card, I distressed around the edges of the image then stamped some flourishes and then glittered some flourishes every so often. Then I distressed around the edges of the papers and flowers. The flowers have also been stamped with versamark using a flourish stamp then embossed with a clear embossing powder, but the photo doesn't pick it up too well.

The sketch is fabulous and I will use it again and it's from Just Magnolia. The theme for Simon Says Stamp is Vintage with Flowers. Sophisti-cats want us to use Embossing, it can be wet or dry, I have done wet as I've embossed flourishes onto my flowers with clear embossing powder, to give them a nice shine . It's not showing up too well though, we just don't have any light here at the moment its so dull and rainy. Distressing is this weeks theme over at Saturday Spotlight and all my papers and flowers have been distressed. C.R.A.F.T. want to see Ribbons and sparkle and my ribbon is some lovely white organza and my sparkle is around the outside of the image. Cute Card Thursday want you to use ribbon this week.

With Love

Oh what a nightmare trying to get this card done, it has took two days on and off. I have Sinusitis again, it seems to visit me every 6-8 weeks, I do have a spray but not very good. I've had allsorts of tests done at the hospital with camera's and microscopes, but it effects my throat too and they can't find out why. So bending over a desk is quite painful, so I end up stopping and starting all the time.

But enough of my moaning and on to this card, I'm entering it into the following challenges:-
1. Roses On Paper - challenge 30 - sketch
2. Colour Create - challenge 37 - Soft pink, soft blue, white and silver
3. Just Magnolia - Hearts and flowers
4. Papertake Weekly - Love Actually
5. Sophti-cats - challenge 20 - Love
6. Crafty Creations - challenge # 53 - Wings
7. ABC Challenge - N is for New

Roses on paper gave a fab sketch to use, and the colour combo is Colour Creates theme. I've used a Tilda for the Just Magnolia theme of Hearts and flowers, where is the heart did I hear you say, it's a patch on her jeans and for the flowers she's holding them. It's "Love Actually" over on Papertake Weekly, and I've used the sentiment "with love" for this. Love seems to be everywhere at the moment with Valentines day round the corner, and that's what Sophist-cats is asking for "Love". Crafty Creations are looking for "Wings", there is wings on my Tilda and on the butterflies. N is for New at the ABC challenge, some of my papers are new and the die cut oval and scallops were a gift from Sarah, which I haven't used before, thank you love x

Ooooops!!!!

This card is for:-
1. Just Magnolia - week 38 - sketch
2. Roses On Paper - challenge 28 - use favourite colour medium
3. Creative InspirationsWednesday - challenge 41 - Thank you
4. Fussy and Fancy Friday - challenge 1 - "new"
5. Stamp Something - New Somethings

I love how this card has turned out, I've made it for my kids to give it to my Mum as she took all three of them to her house and spent the morning baking buns and scones, last Sunday. I'll put some choccies with this card to say thank you as the kids had lots of fun. I bake and cook with them but I think they enjoy the change sometimes.
I don't hardly have any fabric flowers or not many flower punches, so i'm always looking for new ways to do flowers and I thought I've done alot of handmade roses, so this is what I've come up with. I punched my flowers and cut some hearts on the Cricut, inked the edges, then using Versafine, stamped the hearts and flowers with a detailed flourish stamp. Then heat embossed them with gold powder. They may not be everybody's taste but I love how they've turned out. I also used 3D gloss on her shoes the end of the wooden spoon and the broken egg, but it doesn't show on the photo.

Just Magnolia gave us a great sketch to use, whilst Roses on Paper asked us to colour in our favourite mediums, and mine is Distress Inks and H20's. Creative Inspiration Wednesday has the theme of "Thank you" so this is my Thank you card to my Mum. Both Fussy & Fancy Friday and Stamp Something have the theme of "New" which includes using new products, well everything has ben cut using my new Purple Cow paper trimmer and guillotine combined that my lovely Hubby bought me. Also the image I've never used before and it was won as a prize at Die Cut Dreams for a Card I made, these flowers are a new idea too so that might count aswell.

Hope every one copes with the bad weather and the cold
Keep safe

Making a scene!

This card is for:-
1. A spoonful Of Sugar - challenge 77 - "Create a scene"
2. Colour Create - challenge 31 - "Blue, Silver and White"
3. Cupcake Crafts - challenge 65 - "Snow much fun"
4. Roses On Paper - challenge 24 - "Christmas"
5.Allsorts - "Bring out the bling"
6. Crafty Creations - challenge 41 - "Snow Creation"
7. Creative Inspirations - Challenge 35 - "New or neglected"
8. Cute Card Thursday - challenge 86 - "Glitter me silly"
9. Saturday Spotlight With Hidden Potential - Repeat image

This card turned out better than I thought it would, although I couldn't get the sparkle to show on camera no matter what I did. And as you know I haven't been around much this pass week so I will have to knuckle down and get some Christmas cards made as I have a list as long as my arm. Then i'll have more to post.
A Spoonful of sugar asked us to create a scene and I thought I can't do that I don't posses tree stamps or owt like that , but then I thought a bit more and remembered I'd received a lovely candy from Debbi, and in it was some die cut Christmas trees, so the card started to come together then.
Colour Create gave the colour combo Blue, White and Silver and the colours are lovely together.
Cupcake Crafts theme is "Snow much fun", and I chose Tilda and Edwin as skating fun.
Roses On Paper wanted a Christmas card
Allsorts want you to "Bring out the bling", I know it doesn't show too well but Tilda's cuffs and hem of her coat is glamour dusted, Edwins hat and the branches of the tree are all glamour dusted aswell. There's snow/ice on the ground and bits on the sentiments are all glamour dusted. Plus there is gems on the Christmas trees.
Crafty Creations asked for a snow creation and thats on this card too.
Creative Inspirations asked for "new or neglected", well I've never used this image before, the tree diecuts are new and so are the papers, so I think these qualify for this challenge.
Cute Card Thursday is "Glitter me silly" and there is definately plenty of that although it doesn't show very well.
Saturday Spotlight With Hidden Potential wanted you to use an image repeated, so I used my christmas trees three time, I don't know if that counts as they are die cuts and not stamps.

No recipe today got to pick the kids up so i'm rushing off.
