It's A Boy

There's a new challenge this morning over at Polkadoodles and the theme is to print/stamp onto acetate/vellum. For my creation I used the Candy Doodles CD and printed the candy boys backing paper on to white vellum. I then printed and re-sized the stampies to match and coloured them with Promarkers. My main image was coloured with the fab Aquamarkers.

I would like to enter this for:-

2. Papertake Weekly - Something new and Something blue (I bought some nappy pins to use)

If you left a comment on my blog , with regards to the blogger problem of leaving spaces in between lines, and you also have the same problem .. .. try holding down your "shift" key and then pressing return. Hope it helps. I've tried it and it works, but you won't see it until you come off blogger then go back on. My blogging friend Jules finally was able so give me this solution. Thank you Jules x

I would also like to remind you about the DT Call on the new challenge blog "Oldie But A Goodie", it ends on the 20th August. And the challenge will start on the 7th September.

Twins and an Update

I made these cards for my twin nephews, they have everything identical and argue if not. They love to play football and I made sure they had their names on the footie shirts.

I'm entering this if for:-

A spoonful of Sugar - challenge # 98 - "One for the boys"

Now just when you think everything is getting back to normal something else happens. I was up through the night again with Bobby, he was running a high temperature and his cough just doesn't seem to be shifting at all. And he sounded really horse and a sore throat. So off to the docotors, to find out he has severe tonsilitis, and is full of mucous as the Doc put it. They have now put him on antibiotics, but we enquired about his croup while we were there, as the hospital last week asked us why he didn't have an Inhaler for his croup. The doctors said he doesn't get it often enough, we said that we don't bring him every time as you told us there's not much you can do, just advise steaming. Now they are telling us if we took him to the Doctors every time they would have considered giving him something for it.

Well you can bet your last penny he'll be at the doctors with every single bout of croup now. He's 4 why do they make them suffer, I'm so mad! Enough ranting I think.

Please don't forget to be in with a chance of winning a fab Cricut, then join in the Fantasy challenge over at Sir Stampalot!

Hope you all have a good weekend

Happy crafting

No Rules!

This card is for:-

Crafty Creations - challenge 47 - No Rules

There are no rules over at Crafty Creations this week, so i'm entering this card I have made for a DT Buddies husband who is a Footie Ref.

This is a quick post as I am taking the kids to the Panto tonight to see Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, It's my youngest son's first time, but he's nearly four so I think he'll sit still and watch it.

Shall I give you a quick laugh before I go, my youngest son was sat with me the other evening watching tele, I was watching Amanda Holden training to be a midwife. There was a very pregnant lady layed on a bed being examined. "Wow look at her fat belly mummy" my 3 year old son said. "I know she has a baby in there, just like when you was a baby, Bobby, in my tummy" I told him. "Aren't you nasty mam, you eat me" his startled reply was.

He thought that I had eaten him when he was a baby and kept him in my tummy, I still laugh when I think of what he said. Hope it gives you a little giggle!

Gone Fishing

This is for:-
1. Papertake Weekly - Sketch
2. Crafty Creations - challenge # 42 - metal/metallic finishes
3. Die cut Dreams - challenge # 24 - "Puppy Love"

This card is another one for my Cousin in America as it's his Birthday on New Year's Eve. He goes hunting and fishing with his Dad in Oregon, so I think he'll like this fishing Dandelion dog.
I don't know about you but I'm having such problems with Blogger at the moment, it won't let me put my post on properly, I can't see the photo of my card as i'm writing this and it's not letting me change the colour of the font either. There's other problems like it won't let me leave comments on blogs half the time at the moment. Then I keep losing things in my sidebar. So please bear with me if you think I'm not leaving comments, I can assure you i'm trying.
Papertake weekly gave us a great sketch and it came in for a masculine card too.
Crafty Creations wanted metal or metallic finishes, so I chose to use gold mirror board and corners.
Die Cut dreams gave the theme "Puppy Love" and I just love this fishing dog.

The last of Halloween!!!!!!

This project is for:-
1. Penny Black Saturday - week 72 - Halloween
2. Create 4 Fun - week 43 - template
3. C.R.A.F.T. - challenge 23 - Halloween
4. Saturday Spotlight With Hidden Potential - Sweet treat containers

I think I've had enough of Halloween now. I've made these treat holders for my two eldest children as I've made others for my youngest son and my twin nephews.
The template is from Create 4 Fun and came in real handy for Saturday Spotlight as they wanted a treat container. And Penny Black and C.R.A.F.T. both had Halloween as themes.

Happy Halloween to all of you

A Twilight Birthday

This card is for:-
1. Cupcake Crafts - week 62 - "Things that go bump in the night"
2. Creative Craft Challenge - Challenge # 1 - Number 1
3. Creative Inspirations - challenge # 19 - Something with numbers on it
4. Craft Creations - challenge # 38 - "All Hallow's Eve"

This card is for my Son's, Scott's birthday, he will be 14 and is into the Twilight saga at the moment. He also likes Blade and anything to do with Darren Shan, basically if you don't have a teenage son it means anything with Vampires, Werewolves and blood in it. He asked me to make his card and told me he was going to give me a challenge (cheeky monkey!). It had to have twilight, vampires and black on it. He's also getting together with his mates at the cinema this year and going to see the new Darren Shan movie The Vampire's Assistant. And mummy can't come, he's growing up so quick and too old to have his mum taking him to the cinema now. (weep weep).
Cupcake Crafts wants thing to go bump in the night, I think the vampires do that.
Creative Craft Challenge said something with the number 1 in it as this is the first challenge, well I know it has 14 on but there is a 1 in that number.
Creative Inspirations theme is anything with numbers on it, and we have the number 14.
Craft Creations gave "All Hallow's Eve", well there's enough vampires on this card for Hallow's eve.

Baby's First Christmas!

This card is for:-
1. Stampin For The Weekend - challenge # 13 - Anything Baby Goes
2. Sunday Sketch And Stamp - Challenge # 10 - sketch

This card looks much darker on the photo, it's going to be for my neighbours grandson and as you can guess it will be his 1st Christmas. It's got one of my favourite things on sparkle, on his hat. Stampin For The Weekend challenged us with "Anything Baby Goes" such as new baby, first baby, christening. So I thought Baby's 1st Christmas. And with a great sketch from Sunday Sketch and Stamp it all fell into place perfectly.

Recipe:-
Stamps - Daisy and Dandelion, Sentiment computer,
Papers - Sandylion snowy days, Dovecraft winter wonderland,
Colouring mediums - distress inks, H20's,
Tools - Cricut,

Daisy And Dandelion

I used a free download of Daisy and Dandelion from http://www.daisyanddandelion.blogspot.com/
My friend has just got a new house, but this image would be great for Anniversaries or birthdays and much more. I just love the new Daisy and Dandelion range.
