I Shall Be Your Wings

Hello everyone, happy Bank Holiday Monday to you all. This is a rare post for me as I found a little extra time to have a play this morning. although I was up at 6.00am,  that's right this is just for fun!
I love my new stamps from Chocolate Baroque that arrived on Saturday, they are called I Shall Be Your Wings
I Shall Be Your Wings Rubber Stamp sheet - A5

I made this card so I could enter the Chacolate Baroque Rainbow challenge.  So I started with a strip of card and using Brusho's I created stripes of colour with the powder before spraying with water to activate them.  Then I stamped a feather with versamark then embossed with white embossing powder.  I added some sparkle with a quickie glue pen and Glamour Dust.  the sentiment comes in the set.

I hope you all have a nice relaxing day, I've got shopping, cleaning and ironing to do, but at least I got some crafting in this morning while they were all in bed.

I'd like to enter this into the following challenges:-
1. Cute Card Thursday - #649 - Inky
2. Crafty Creations - #412 - Anything Goes

Recipe:-
Stamps - Chocolate Baroque - I shall be your wings,
Colouring Medium - Brusho's,
Tools - Embossing powder, heat gun,

Summer Relaxation

Welcome to a new month for Stamping Sensations and Penny black & More @ Allsorts challenges, if you didn't get the chance to join in last month's challenges these could be the ones for you.

At Stamping Sensations this month the theme is 'Make It Masculine'  for this card I used a circular Gel Plate with Distress oxide in Speckled Egg, I do love this colour.  I sprinkled Brusho's on and used this as a base for stamping onto.  I used free stamps from the magazine Creative Stamping and created a scene, which I coloured with Water colour pencils.  To take the plainness of the white I stamped in Speckled egg a lvinia stamp in the corners.

The prizes for this Month are:-

And now onto my second challenge creation for Penny black & More @ Allsorts, where the theme is 'Say It With Flowers'  I love this cute image, I don't have the stamp these images were sent to me a long time ago, but I have used the last now and thing I maybe need the stamp as it's so cute.  So my base backing card was created using Distress Oxides in just two colours, Squeezed lemonade and Dried Marigold.  The next layer I stamped lots of daisies from a Prickley Pear set, then coloured them with water coloured pencils.  Then the last layer is my image, coloured again with Water Coloured Pencils, I edged each layer with a black Posca pen to define the layers.  Love colouring with my pencils at the moment.

Summer Fun In The Meadows

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Wendy's turn to host and she would like to see some 'Summer Fun'.
Well there's lots of Summer Fun going on in my Meadows.  So first up is some Hares frolicking in the meadow.  I made a keepsake file at an online workshop with the lovely Jo Rice.  My daughter claimed it straight away for work.  It was all made using Lavinia stamps, on a background brayered with Distress Oxides and stamped with Versafine Clair.
So then using a baked bean can I covered the rims with Gesso, I measured a piece of card to fit round the can, brayered a background with Distress Inks and stamped with Lavinia stamps, and yes my daughter claimed that too for work.  So I thought maybe she needs a coaster for work to go with the pen holder and file.  So everything on her desk at work matches, and she's very pleased with them.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

In The Sunshine

Welcome to a new month for Stamping Sensations and Penny black & More @ Allsorts challenges, if you didn't get the chance to join in last month's challenges these could be the ones for you.

At Stamping Sensations this month the theme is 'Make It Masculine'  Lighthouse scenes are always good for men.  I used two stamps the lighthouse with the rocks and then some sea with boats.  I just masked and filled in the rest of the sea with a fine liner pen.  The sky was done using a stencil brush with distress inks and so was the sun through a mask.  I coloured it all with Distress inks, which I enjoy using for that water coloured effect.

Native Americans

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is my turn turn to host and I would like to see 'Make It Masculine', and this challenge will last for two weeks.
Here is what I did, I used a stamp set from Chocolate Baroque - Do Right Always , these really do lend themselves to Masculine cards.  I loved the Teepee but wanted it to look old and authentic, I used some Kraft card, put a thin coat of Gesso on to tone it down then stamped it up.  I coloured it with water coloured pencils.

For the Totem Pole I made a distressed wood effect background using Distress Inks, then stamped  and coloured with Distress Inks.  I stamped my sentiment side ways to be a bit different

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.
