Vintage Style

What a wonderful week weather wise but such a sad time for the people of the Manchester tragedy, It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Mervi's turn to host and she would like to see 'Vintage Style'

I have this lovely pansy stamp and works well in vintage style, I nearly always go with my vintage/art deco ladies but fancied something different. Some stamping done in Memento ink - Coffee Bean, and well I've got to have lace on a vintage creation.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

Ring A Ring 'O' Roses

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Brenda's turn to host and she would like to see 'Ring A Ring 'O' Roses'
So we would like to see roses on your creation to fit our theme.

I struggled at first, so I chose a stamp I haven't used until now, a Wild Rose Studio.  I coloured it up first then the inspiration came from the flowers the Rabbit is holding, and remembered a magazine freebie set that had this rose stamp in.  So I stamped it out ten times, coloured them and cut them out to form my ring of roses.  I then remembered getting a rose embossing folder also a freebie, so there was my background.

We have two super prizes on offer this week, a really pretty floral paper pad and yes there are some Roses in there and a Heartfelt Creations Romantique Garden stamp.

A quick reminder in case you missed last weeks post, next Saturday is our 8th Birthday, we have a fun challenge planned and would love you to grab the photo below and share on your own blogs to help us spread the word.

Thanks for popping by my blog.

Going To The Dark Side!!

Hello May seems to be pretty good so far for the garden even if a little chilly at times, but I'm here as it's a new month for Stamping Sensations and Penny black & More @ Allsorts challenges, if you didn't get the chance to join in last month's challenges these could be the ones for you.

At Stamping Sensations this month the theme is 'Butterflies, Fairies and Fantasy', The perfect opportunity to ink up all those butterflies, fairies and other magical images, the choice is up to you but we do need to see something stamped and associated with the theme focally on your artwork.......a small punched or die cut Butterfly will not suffice.

And as you can see my card fits two of the subjects, Fairies and Fantasy.  You might think my card is a little on the dark side, but that is because it's for my daughter, who loves anything like this.

So a little about how I made this creation, I started with this Crafts & Me stamp kindly given to me by my friend Brenda who knew I would be using it for my daughter.  I masked a moon and used a yellow marker and Glamour Dust to highlight the edge of the moon.   I stamped some bats and a wrought iron fence.
The base background paper I made on some lilac paper, using a rose stamp and then inking with black soot and dusty concord Distress Inks. I took a Robert Addams Die and made the black lattice edges, then using some die cuts I was given, think they are Tim Holtz bird on a branch, i snipped of the bird then inked the branches, turned them on their sides and made them look like trunks.  I then took some grey gems to make berries on my trees.
I think that's it covered.

Our prize this Month is:-
The Mariposa Butterfly collection from Couture Creations

And of course, the Design Team have created some stunners to inspire you. Please do pay them a visit to their individual blogs - it means a lot to know you appreciate their efforts.

And now onto my second challenge creation for Penny black & More @ Allsorts, where the theme is to follow the photo inspiration below:-
May

So you can use any subject for this challenge. as long as it fits either the picture or the colour scheme.  i matched the colours and the flowers.  the cute stamp is one a friend stamped for me but I think I do need to get this stamp, I loved colouring it and think it's so cute.

We have prizes from Penny Black, Crafts U Love, Sizzix x 2 . Now isn't that a lot of prizes, definitely worth getting your stamps out isn't it!!!!!!

Now if you would like to be a GDT for us, all you need to do is make a creation to fit the theme following our rules.

Musical Mice

After a good week of weather and time in the garden, even though quite chilly at times,  it's Saturday morning and so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Helene's turn to host and she would like to see 'Music'

I have used my 'Musical Mice' stamp by House Mouse, it's a delight to colour and I like it for masculine cards, hence the lack of embellishments and also the size makes it hard to add much to the card too.  I got the backing printed music sheet from the internet, a freebie.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

Here are the prizes and sponsors for this week:-

So not one but two lucky winners this week.

I also wanted to give a little teaser on our upcoming Birthday celebration.
