A Little Bit Of Beatrix Potter

Good Morning bloggers, and A Happy Mother's Day for all you lovely ladies for tomorrow. As it's Saturday morning It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Ellie's turn to host and she would like to see 'Fairy Tales or Nursery Rhymes'
Here are a few ideas to help with the challenge - 3 little pigs, the Tale of Peter Rabbit, Chicken Little, The Ugly Duckling, The Little Mermaid, Twinkle Twinkle Little Star, Wizard of Oz, Alice in Wonderland, Tinkerbell, Hickory Dickery Dock, Ring Around the Rosies, Frog Princess...

I chose to go with my all time Author Beatrix Potter, I consider her a Pioneer of Women, I love how she did so much to preserve the countryside, battled to get her books published in the way she wanted, and stood up for herself in time that was ruled by men.
So I have done Hunca Munca from the book The Tale Of Two Bad Mice, I also thought it was an appropriate image for a Mother's Day card.  I kept it simple and the patterened paper and border at the top was made using a free embossing folder I have.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

It's In The Bag!!!!

Hello everyone, and welcome, it's a new month for Stamping Sensations and Penny black & More @ Allsorts challenges, if you didn't get the chance to join in last month's challenges these could be the ones for you.

At Stamping Sensations this month the theme is 'Autumn Glory', so for my image I did some masking, I stamped a Beatrix Potter image, then stamped it again on a post it note and covered the main image.  I then over stamped it with a Magnolia fence stamp to create a little scene.  After die cutting the labels I inked the edges with distress inks.  The background is a piece of patterened paper, that wasn't very detailed, I used A backgound stamp from The Stampman around the edge  and embossed with embossing powder.

We have sponsorship this Month from Penny Black with the following prize:-

Those Cheeky Little Rabbits

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.  But first an up-date on my hospital appointment that was on Tuesday, there was no Pathology results yet, but the specialist is pleased with how my mouth is healing, and wants me to go back in 6 weeks time, for a further check-up.  But till then I have to carry on with soft foods to protect my Jaw from becoming damaged.  The stitches are still in too, even though they are disolvable they can take 6/8 weeks to actually dissolve, and they are needed to stop the wound from opening with the pressure of eating.  I am still getting some pain, but there is a lot of improvement too.  I still have the pins and needles in my chin, lip and tongue and I was told by the specialist that that can take anything up to a year to go back to normal, hope it won't be that long as I keep biting my tongue.  I am feeling more positive about the results and so was the Specialist, so onwards and upwards.

This week is my turn to host and I would like to see 'Feature A Creature'
Here is what I did, I used a set of Peter Rabbit stamps, and decided to make a set of Thank You cards/notelets.  All the images are watercoloured, and as they are small (A6) didn't require a lot of embellishments, but I tried to still make them pretty.  I made a box to for them, so that I can give them as a gift.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.
