New Home

For my creation this week at Polkadoodles the theme is "Generic Male & Female", so I chose to do a new home card as I have found both single men and women are buying homes on their own now. I have used the NEW stamp doodles house, and my papers are from the Love & Cherish CD and also All Around & Everywhere CD.

Now for some Fab news from Nikky to pass on about a fab competition which has started today. The great news is that Polka Doodles has teamed up with Letraset of Promarkers fame to host a competition with the MOST FABULOUS PRIZES imaginable. If you pop over to the Challenge Blog, Nikky will tell you more about it

Simon Says Stamp - "Going All Dotty"

I've had quite a peaceful week with my sister and kids at blackpool for the week, apart from my eldest son having an ear infection. My parents, sister and the twins are all back tomorrow, so things will be back to normal. My Sister is doing a lot better though, I think the holiday has done her good.

A very good weekend to you all

Fairy On Tiptoes

There is a DT Call over at Die Cut Dreams and the theme for it is "Pink & Girly". The closing date is Sunday 25th July at noon, and the announcement of the new DT will be Monday 26th.

For my creation I used the lovely "Fairy on tiptoes" by Lily Of The Valley, I added all my favourite things, stickles, lace, flowers, and Butterflies. I coloured my image with Distress Inks, the darker pink colour I used for my nestie and flowers have turned out a bit darker on the photo.

A quick update on my Sister, She is still in a lot of pain, so yesterday I took her to the doctors and they gave her some stronger painkillers, so hopefully this will see a bit more of an improvement. My hubby is driving her and the twins to Blackpool on Saturday to join my mam and dad on their holiday, and then going back to bring them back a week later. So i'll be able to have a rest providing my own kids behave. Looking forward to some easy time with my kids as they start their summer holidays tomorrow.

Hoping you all have a lovely weekend and thank you for popping by my way.

Graduation Mouse

This is the last of the Graduation cards I made for my 60 year old Aunt who has graduated. Just had to use this cute mouse, he is so adorable, and I absolutely love House Mouse stamps, and it looks lovely sat in a matching gift box.

I am entering this into :-

House Mouse challenge - challenge 74 - "The letter B" (my B's are - Black, bow, blooms, box, brad)

Papertake Weekly - "Cutie Patootie" (I think all House Mouse images are cute )

Just an update with my sister's condition for my regular followers. My Sister was allowed to come home yesterday afternoon, my hubby went to pick her up, we got her some shopping and my Auntie sat with her for a bit. I have checked she is ok, as I wanted her to sleep at my house, but she said I just want to get into my own bed and sleep. So she's all set up with everything she needs and her phone beside her, we don't live far from each other so if she needs me I can get straight there. Besides I need to be at home as her kids are dropped of at my house at 6.30am on a morning. We are not letting her own kids know she's home yet so they don't get upset as she's not strong enough to see to them. But Thursday or Friday I'm going to take them home all being well. Then she's off to join my mam and Dad for a week in Blackpool as they are there on holiday for a fortnight. So things are looking up for her.

I went out and bought Bobby and the twins some bits of toys to play with today, three of everything so they don't fight LOl! They had everything the same, colour the lot and they still found something to fight about. But thats kids for you!!!!!!

Thank you for calling by my blog and for such wonderful comments you all leave, they really do keep me going.

Fairy Flutterfly's Babsie

Polkadoodles do a range of stamps called Fairy Flutterfly's, they are very versatile as they come with the wings seperate which can be used as a butterfly on it's own. They also include a sentiment and some small flowers and a small butterfly too. These will be coming soon to Create + Craft TV. Nikky asked us to do some samples for the show, showing the stamps on a general card and as a Christmas card. My christmas card will be shown soon.

This is Babsie, I love her she's so cute, her clothes look great and her wings are great to work with on there own, as a butterfly or as fairy wings. The papers and flowers are all from Polkadoodles Cd-Roms, and the sentiment and small butterfly comes with the stamp set.

Bird House

Polkadoodles are doing a new range of stamps, this birdhouse is among them and will be shown today at the Doncaster show. Nikky asked us to do some samples for the show, and this uses the cute little bird stamp. The bird house is from the Polkadoodles CD All Around And Everywhere, I inserted a little pink bird from the same Cd, I just cut a slit into the doorway of the house and slid her in.

Papertake Weekly - "In the garden"

Allsorts - challenge 61 - Summer days

Thank you for the kind words regarding my Sisters condition that I put in an earlier post. She has been diagnosed with Pneumonia, a hole in her Lung and one in her bowl.

My sister took a turn for the worse through the night Thursday, and after a lot of investigating they have found that the new anti-biotics they were giving her, gave her a really bad allergic reaction.
Yesterday when the doctor saw her, he had her injected with dye to see whats happening around her body, mainly to see how bad the holes in her lung and bowel are.
Then they gave her some good news, which is the drugs and anti-biotics are working and the holes are starting to self repair. Thay had told her yesterday that she'd be in hospital another 6-10 days, but now they say she may get home the beginning or middle of next week as long as she has help.
So i'm doing hospital visits over the weekend and then back to looking after the kids for the whole of next week from monday. And when she comes out i'll need to look after her too.

I've only my own kids over the weekend as the twins have gone to their dads, so I might get some blogging done.

Fairy Flutterfly

It's Friday and that means another Polkadoodles challenge.
Lou over at Polkadoodles has picked the theme this week of using Any stamps, but we the design team have to use our Fairy Flutterby stamps to create all of your card - background, image and sentiment.
I have used the Meeshelle Fairy Flutterfly set, I have used a pearlised piece of lilac card then stamped butterflies with versamark all over then embossed with holographic embossing powder to make a background. All the stamps on this card are from the same stamp set. Meeshelle has been coloured with distress inks, and lots of stickles has been added for that lovely sparkle.

My sister was rushed into hospital Satuday night, and yesterday they gave my sister a body scan, she has Pneumonia, they have found a hole in her bowel, and a burst ulcer which is leaking gases, and has now caused a hole in her lung. The Doctors are deciding what will be done, it could mean major surgery. My sister has 4 year old twins, who are close to my son Bobby, they are the same age. Nostalgia

I am hosting the challenges this month at Rosie-D's, and the theme for this fortnight is Burgandy, Pink and Cream. I was feeling a bit nostalgic after I had finished my card as it reminded me of my sister and me when we was younger. I'm also offering the following prize to the winner -

So if you fancy joining in pop on over and take a look at the fab DT creations too.

I would also like to enter it into the following challenges:-

2. Truly Scrumptious - challenge 36 - Sketch (which I have rotated)

I would like to apologise in advance if I go missing a bit over the next week or so, as my Sister was rushed into hospital last night, there is something wrong with her white blood cells and they think she has a clot on her lung. They are giving her a body scan at 9am in the morning. Now she has twin boys age 4, same age as Bobby, my youngest. Their Dad has them at the moment, but i'll be having them tomorrow, so might not see a computer as when the three of them get together they are little tearaways. But i'll have to help out where I can, so can't say when i'll be around. Strange though that this card was made with my sister in mind over a week ago, way before she became ill, and now it looks like i'll be giving it to her as a get well card.

Recipe:-
Stamps - Penny Black Rain or Shine,
Papers - Papermania Regency, My Minds Eye Wild Asparagus,
Colouring Mediums - Distress Inks,
Embellishments - Sentiment ticket, bow, rose, flowers, photo corners all from stash
