Relaxing Bubbles

Hello, I hope you’re all OK and have had a lovely sunny weekend. It's been beautiful weather, we did the whole BBQ thing on Saturday, I'm a bit of a kill joy as I don't like BBQ's but joined in with the rest of the family as I didn't want to spoil it.  It was nice as all three of my kids were there together, and wasn't arguing which doesn't happen very often. It was also a non crafting day, but worth it to have time with my family.

It is time for another theme over on the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge, this time it was our lovely Tom's turn to choose the theme and he chose "Relax/Enjoying Life"
I used HMG1015 Relaxing Bubbles, normally I would go blues with this stamp, with the whole bubbles thing but decided to go all girly instead, and I like it, don't think I'll be bringing the blues out for it again now.  I'm not a blue person, not really a colour I like.  I covered my bubbles in glossy accents, but it's not really showing.
Of course you must use a House MouseHappy Hopper or Gruffie to join in.

Gift Box Tutorial

This is my tutorial for a gift box, and here are the Prickley Pear Products I used to make it with:-

CLR023 Mini Butterflies clear set, D044 Heart Oval Insert Die, D045 Flourish Die, CLR013C,

I used two pieces of A4 card, and cut to 21cm square, for the lid use a score board and score 4cm in from the edge all the way round, as below:-

Then for the base slice a slither of two sides so the base fits in the lid, now score as you did with the lid 4cm in from the edge.

Now cut the corners as below, then using a bone folder fold all the scored lines.

Use a wet glue to glue each corner then hold together with paperclips on both the lid and base. Then set the boxes to one side to dry while you make the embellishments.

Next I stamped out some flowers using CLR023 Mini Butterfly stamp set, I coloured them with markers then cut them out, I layered the two sizes of flowers, added pearls to the centre and glittered the edges of the petals.  For the rest of the embellishments I cut a flourish using D045.  and a butterfly from the stamp set.

I stamped my sentiment from the CLR013c stamp set in the centre of the heart oval insert die and layered up.  Now arrange all the embellishments on to the lid of your gift box.  I added a fancy braid around the lid.

And thats my gift box.
Thank you for looking

A Gift Bag With A Difference

Hello, it's Monday again, it comes round so quickly. I hope you’re all OK and have had a lovely weekend.
This is a double post for House Mouse and Prickley Pear
So here's a reminder for the theme over on the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge, this time it was our lovely Lorraine's turn to choose the theme and she chose "Anything Goes." - So you can make anything, using anything, as long as you use a House MouseHappy Hopper or Gruffie to join in.  I made another gift bag but with a difference, I thought this would be a nice little gift for someone who is suffering with a cold and a sore throat, there's some throat lozengers, tissues, vapour rub and cold and flu powders.  Maybe not an exciting gift to give but it might help them to recovery.  Here's a closer look.

I used this great image HMJR1055 Birdie Doctor, teamed with one of the paper pads from LOTV, Baskets & Bunnies.  I love altering paper gift bags, and homemade ones make the gift seem that bit more personal.

I Love My Dies

Hello and welcome, it's a new month for Stamping Sensations and Penny black & More @ Allsorts challenges, if you didn't get the chance to join in last month's challenge this could be the one for you.

At Stamping Sensations this month the theme is 'Summer Blooms',  I chose this lovely LOTV stamp, she's blowing dandelions, then to keep the summer bloom theme I used floral papers and added handmade flowers cut with dies.  I'm not usually one for blue but I do like this colour combo, the cream seems to warm the blue up a bit.

We have sponsorship this Month from

"Please note that PP&S will apply outside the US"

And of course, the Design Team have created some stunners to inspire you. Please do pay them a visit to their individual blogs - it means a lot to know you appreciate their efforts.

And now onto my second challenge creation for Penny black & More @ Allsorts, where the theme is 'Dies & Punches', So you can use whatever image you like for this challenge.   I used this cute Penny Black stamp, always reminds me of my sister and I together.  I coloured my image to match these gorgeous papers from LOTV, they are called Antebellum, I used my Spectrum Noirs, my collection is coming on a treat now, each pay day my hubby buys me more and keeps making my storage boxes for them too.  When my collection is complete I will pop some photo's on.  But I really can see a difference with my colouring, I love them.

We have prizes from Penny Black, Craft Bag, Flonz, Nicecrane,Marianne designs. Now isn't that a lot of prizes, definitely worth getting your stamps out isn't it!!!!!!

Now if you would like to be a GDT all you need to do is make a creation to fit the theme following our rules.

Baby Fairies

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Susan's turn to host and she would like to see 'Fairies'
Here is what I did, I used one of our sponsors images, It's Adorable Fairies from Nicecrane designs, which you can find here
Adorable Fairies

I framed my image using a spellbinders die, but it was too big so I cut a section out from the middle and pieced it back together.  I love these papers, of course they are LOTV, it's all I seem to use now is LOTV papers, I have most of their pads, I just really love the vintage look of them.  I have glittered the fairy wings, but as you know I'm rubbish at taking the photo's, so you probably won't be able to see.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

Here are the prizes on offer:-

One lucky winner will receive $20 to spend online
