Christmas Creatures

It's a chilly Saturday morning, and appropriate for today's card, so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is my turn to host and I would like to see 'Christmas Creatures' so the focal point must be a Creature/Animal in a Christmas setting

I just thought this Whimsy image is so cute I had to use it, great to colour but a bit big for embellishments on the card. So kept it quite simple

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

Here is the prize on offer:-

Recipe:-
Stamps - Whimsy Warm Winter Wishes, Sentiment magazine freebie,
Colouring Mediums - Spectrum Noirs, Promarkers, Distress Inks,
Tools - Grand Calibur, embossing folder,
Embellishments - ribbon, butchers twine, glamour dust,

Gothic Letter Writing

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Susan's turn to host and she would like to see 'Halloween'

I used this image which my daughter loves, she was great to colour. I was going to go with red hair as my daughter has bright red hair, although a couple of weeks ago it was purple, (she changes the colour of her hair every other month lol) but the orange was more fitting for Halloween.  The web die I bought a while ago, my daughter Jodie talked me into it, said I really needed it and I can put it on her birthday cards.  Glad I bought it now as it finished this card perfectly.  The backing paper was orange so I used distress inks in black soot to tone it down, and then stamped bats all over it.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

Here are the prizes on offer from our lovely sponsor Little Claire's:-

Stamps - Lacy Sunshine - Abby Love Letters, Prickly Pear bat stamp,
Colouring Mediums - promarkers, spectrum noirs, distress ink,
Tools - Grand Calibur, signature dies,

Getting Inky And Special Wishes

It's my turn to do the mid month over at Stamping Sensations and we are doing 'try something new', So I have tried two different techniques.
I normally shy away from inky projects, they do scare me!
I think I'm what they call a clean crafter, so I got some inky fingers and watched a few tutorials and came up with this card and gift bag.

So I used Distress Inks to make my background, after I had stamped my images I coloured them in with a black pen to make them into silhouettes.  I made a background paper by stamping fairy dust and adding sparkle.  I don't have a grass stamp so I drew it in.  I surprised myself with the result.

I used a different technique for this gift bag, I put my Distress inks onto an acrylic block and sprayed it to give a water colour look.  Then I embossed a dandelion and brought it to life with distress inks and Glamour dust, then stamped the smaller dandelion.  To finish off  I made a backgound paper.
There's probably room for improvement, but I enjoyed doing it even if I got very inky LOL!

And now onto my creation which is for Penny black & More @ Allsorts mid way, where the theme is 'Close To Nature',  how close to nature can you get than blowing dandelion clocks, so cute.  I used a subtle backing paper and then over stamped some dandelions on then added some sparkle to them.

We have prizes from Penny Black, Crafty Ribbons, and Sizzix. Now isn't that a lot of prizes, definitely worth getting your stamps out isn't it!!!!!!

Now if you would like to be a GDT for us, all you need to do is make a creation to fit the theme following our rules.

Fairy Wishes

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Benda's turn to host and she would like to see 'Think Pink'

I adore this stamp of this pretty fairy, I adore Whimsy stamps anyway but this Sylvia Zet range really are the sweetest.  I know the theme is 'Think Pink' but I thought a tiny bit of blue would be OK if only on the wings, they kind of need it to be  more effective, then covered in sparkle.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

Here are the prizes on offer:-
