Good morning, I hope you’re all OK and have had a lovely weekend, with some lovely sunshine.

So for the theme over on the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge, this time it was our lovely Diane's turn to choose the theme and she chose "Dotty For Dots" - Use some dots somewhere on your creation, I chose dotty paper.  I decided to do a get well card, and chose a shabby chic look for this.  Assorted handmade flowers and butterflies finished this off.

Pink Piggies

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Helene's turn to host and she would like to see 'Bring Your Bling' so that's lots of sparkle.
Here is what I did, I used cute and fun stamp from Kraftin' Kimmie, I did stamp it twice so I could do a practice run at colouring them and getting my colours right.  I needed to go with pinks because of the sentiment but then wanted to use papers that pulled the greens in too, I love this colour combo as I love the burgandy.  Adding gems and stickles gave me my sparkle for this weeks challenge theme, but then I always love to use some sparkle on my girlie cards.

April Showers

Hello, it's Monday again, it comes round so quickly. I hope you’re all OK and have had a lovely weekend.  We went to Cumbria  to see the home of Beatrix Potter, Hill Top Cottage.  We had a fabulous time even though it rained the whole day and we even had snow at one point.  Lake Windermere looked wonderful too and there was snow capped hills in the background, that was our view while we ate our picnic.
I thought the kids might not have enjoyed it but the kids found it quite interesting.  I can honestly say Beatrix Potter was a very inspiring woman of her time.

So for the theme over on the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge, this time it was our lovely Beth's turn to choose the theme and she chose "April Showers".
I used this House Mouse stamp and I always love colouring it.  Because the image is quite big and detailed I kept the card simple.

Dream Box

Good Morning bloggers, it has been lovely weather this week, especially for the kids on their Easter Holidays,  it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Tracy's turn to host and she would like to see 'Choose 3 From The Bingo Grid'

So today I have a box for you to see, I seem to go through phases where I like to alter things like paper bags, note books and my favourite, boxes.  Anything you can stick patterned papers on really as I am a bit of a paper fiend.  Now these papers you may recognise as they are a freebie with this months Papercraft Essentials magazine.  They are called 'Botanica' by Craftwork Cards, I love them, you get about 6 double sided sheets and I really need to buy a pad of these, they are so pretty.  I did  over stamp the papers on the bottom half of my box with a selection of stamps from The Stampman.

Those Cheeky Little Rabbits

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.  But first an up-date on my hospital appointment that was on Tuesday, there was no Pathology results yet, but the specialist is pleased with how my mouth is healing, and wants me to go back in 6 weeks time, for a further check-up.  But till then I have to carry on with soft foods to protect my Jaw from becoming damaged.  The stitches are still in too, even though they are disolvable they can take 6/8 weeks to actually dissolve, and they are needed to stop the wound from opening with the pressure of eating.  I am still getting some pain, but there is a lot of improvement too.  I still have the pins and needles in my chin, lip and tongue and I was told by the specialist that that can take anything up to a year to go back to normal, hope it won't be that long as I keep biting my tongue.  I am feeling more positive about the results and so was the Specialist, so onwards and upwards.

This week is my turn to host and I would like to see 'Feature A Creature'
Here is what I did, I used a set of Peter Rabbit stamps, and decided to make a set of Thank You cards/notelets.  All the images are watercoloured, and as they are small (A6) didn't require a lot of embellishments, but I tried to still make them pretty.  I made a box to for them, so that I can give them as a gift.

Anyone For Cake?

Good Morning bloggers, it's good to be back in blogland. My operation went well and I am on the road to recovery, there was a lot of swelling and bruising but that has almost gone now, still in some pain bit it's getting less each day, nights seem to be the worst.  I am back at the hospital on Tuesday for my results, so let's hope it's good news, I am feeling positive about it.

So back to this morning's challenge, It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Susan's turn to host and she would like to see 'Cupcakes/Cakes'
Here is what I did, I baked a cake using a Lili Of The Valley stamp called Mix It & Make It, and decided to use watercolours to paint the image, I'm enjoying the change at the moment from my Spectrum Noirs, then I distressed everything with Distress Inks, and for once I didn't stick to my usual symmetrical, even layout.  As this is the first card I have made for a couple of weeks I felt like I wanted to just play around with the components and have fun with it, not worrying too much about everything been neat and even, yes I am a bit OCD with things, neat lines, lists, everything has a place, colour co-ordination etc..........  I enjoyed the experience of  filling my card with lots of bits and pieces.

Spring And Some News!

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning and I do hope this goes live because as it does I will be in hospital.  I went to see a Surgeon on Tuesday and he informed me he wanted me in hospital on Friday Morning for an operation.  I have a Cyst/Growth (there not sure what it is until it's sent to pathology) in my jaw. It has become so big and has eaten a lot of my bone away.  When they try to remove the cyst and several teeth there is a chance the jaw bone could break as it is so thin and weak, and I may have to have a bone graft done.  This only became a problem  recently (3/4 months ago)  and everything has moved very fast

The appointment was supposed to take up to 18 weeks originally from Tuesday not the 3 days it has done, But until they operate they will not know the extent of damage or how long I will need to stay in hospital  so therefore I haven't been able to get organised and maybe missing for a while, hopefully though while I'm layed up I will be able to do some blogging, but obviously not making cards.

So back to today's challenge at Allsorts.
This week is our lovely Brenda's turn to host and she would like to see 'Spring Is In The Air', I haven't used a Popcorn Bear for quite a while so thought I would colour up this one.

Rope Swing

Good Morning bloggers, hope you are all well, I am full of cold at the moment and the sinuses are playing up, hope they sort themselves out before my hospital appointment on Tuesday.

Here is what I did, I used a masculine stamp as I see brads good for embellies on masculine cards, and decided to go with a colour combo I love for those male cards, Blue, Taupe and Brown.
For this image I felt like a changes and got my Distress Inks out to colour, I can't remember when I last used them to watercolour with.  I really enjoyed it too.

Fairy Sweet & Cute

Well it's the school holidays for us, there's a couple of play days arranged for Bobby, other than that not much going on.  My daughter is working hard on her A-levels so I'm helping her with them, by quizzing her, bless her I don't know how she keeps all that information in her brain.  She has just been to London last week for her sociology class and has a trip on the 3rd March to Auschwitz, to which I am very proud of her for getting a place,as there was only two places for her school.  Which reminds me I need to go and get her some thermals, I thinks she will definitely need them.

Today I am reminding you of our challenge for Penny black & More @ Allsorts, where the theme is 'Anything Goes' So you can use whatever you like for this challenge.  I really adore this stamp sheet from Penny Black called Fairy Sweet, the images are so cute.  I've used it for a card for my Sisters birthday, not sure what I would call this card as the papers are a bit shabby chic with a touch of vintage.  Love the leaves which I made using some new Spellbinder dies to enhance the satin flowers.  I'm not very happy with the hair on my image, that is my downfall with my colouring and the thing I'm always disappointed with.  My Hubby keeps promising to buy me the Spectrum Noir colouring DVD's, but I'm still waiting, I need them to conquer this hair colouring I think.  Think I have the skin now, what a learning curve crafting is.

Friends

Hello, it's Monday again, it comes round so quickly. I hope you’re all OK and have had a lovely Valentines weekend. I have been a bit off it this weekend due to some problems with my jaw and mouth, but enjoyed watching Bobby play his football match, even though it was cold and damp.

So for the theme over on the House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge, this time it was our lovely Sue's turn to choose the theme and she chose "Friends" - Use something on your creation that represents friendship.  I have used this Tubby Bears stamp (OR1050), as this says friends to me all in the bath together LOL!  I have used some dies that are new to me and given to me by my lovely friend Brenda, thank you so much.  I adore the border along the top, so didn't go mad on embellies as the dies are quite fancy and didn't want it to get too OTT.
