I Don't do bugs

Yes i'm on a roll, I now have all my sons birthday cards done. He'll be 15 on sunday, but loves the House Mouse images, he finds them amusing. So I have let Bobby choose one, and like a four year old found this funny, the bird feeding the mice worms.

Now i'll be able to concentrate on some DT work. Sorry for the photo, another couple of weeks and I should have a new camera, my daughters just doesn't take very clear ones as there isn't the function for close ups, quite a basic camera.

This is for:-

Back to the 80's

The challenge theme this week is a colour combo, over at Die Cut Dreams. The colours are wait for it, are you ready.......................................Orange and Hot Pink.
Well it has made me think, a real challenge, not two colours I would put together at all. All i could think of with these colours was the 80's, vibrant fingerless gloves and leg warmers. My daughter wears them now in blacks, reds etc, a bit more of gothic colours I think. But she thinks they have invented them and doesn't believe I have already been there Lol!

So thank you Pops, my birthday present came in handy. I have used 80's Anya from TGF.

This is for the following challenges:-

1. ABC Challenges - F is for Flowers

Recipe:-

Stamps - TGF 80's Anya, Sentiment ticket Bizzy becs, Polkadoodles Poinsettia stamp

Papers - Dovecraft Wild Blossom,

Colouring Mediums - H20's, Distress Inks,

Tools - Nesties, cuttlebug, flower punches,

Embellishments - gems, stickles, ribbon,

Autumn Leaves

Well I have never done this before, used two stamped images this way. I also have never tried to make a scene before, like I have with these leaf stamps. And just look at that backing paper, it reminds me of a wallpaper my mum had in our kitchen when I was a kid.

This is for the following challenges:-
1. Penny Black Saturday - week 122 - 2 or more images
2. Penny Black At Allsorts - October challenge - Colours Autumn
3. Crafty Cardmakers - challenge 31 - Step away from the square (hope a rectangle DL counts, if not please delete)
4. A Pocket Full Of Posies - challenge # 8 - Autumn Leaves
5. Totally Papercrafts - challenge # 38 - Autumn

Just got back from Minor Injuries A&E at our walk-in centre, as my daughter Jodie has sprained the muscle and ligament in her thumb, and has had to have it strapped up. She did it first thing this morning on the way to school on the school bus, she was holding one of the rails and someones bag handle get wrapped round her thumb and when the young girl walked off it pulled Jodie's thumb back.
School was very good and put ice on it as soon as she went to first Aid, then when the swelling wasn't going down and the pain wasn't easing, called me to pick her up.
They were really quick at A&E to say she had x-ray's too, in and out within the hour. Strapped it up and told to take Paracetamol for the pain.
Jodie's fine, but sad she can't do P.E. for at least a week.

Not many days go by in our house without some kind of drama Lol !

Recipe:-
Stamps - Penny Black, Daisy & Dandelion Sentiment,
Papers - Papermanis Capsule,
Colouring Mediums - Distress Inks,
Embellishments - Ribbon, flowers, stickles,

This photo is not too clever as my memory card for my camera has packed up on me with just under 300 photo's on it too, kids concerts, Bobby's first day at school and things like our trip to the zoo. But thankfully I use this card to put my blogging photo's on the computer and somehow I have a thingy on so that any new piccies added to the card automatically load onto my computer. Just got to get Scott, my eldest to put them onto discs now.

But my daughters camera is very basic and I have been into edit this and tweak it to get it somewhere as decent as I could.

Recipe:-

Stamps - House Mouse Bunny Boo Boo HMOR1035, Polkadoodles butterfly stamp

Papers - Quite Contrary Papers,

Colouring Mediums - Promarkers,

Under The Weather

This week at Polkadoodles the theme is to make your own embellishments. What more could I ask for my favourites red and gingham.
For my creation everything is from the NEW Sundae Of Seasons CD Rom, the embellies I have used are a button and bow from the CD rom and glazed with glossy accents as were the Wellies and Brolly. The flowers are punched with gems for centres. The sentiment is computer generated and matt and layered with holes punched at either end to thread two pieces of ribbon.

There's great DT creations to see too. The winner will receive a special blinkie for use on their blog and something scrummy from Polka Doodles! Runners-up will also receive Blinkies!

I have come off all the medications as they made me too drowsy and i'm just taking Ibuprofen now.

Thank you ladies, your all fantastic.

I put this in an earlier post this morning, but just put it again incase you didn't see it in my last post - thank you
I have been struggling this last couple of weeks, last week I started with a bad back and was put on 4 lots of tablets, some very strong that made me terribly drowsy, I hate that feeling and it did make it hard to blog. Then Monday I woke up with a bit of a sore throat, by the afternoon I couldn't even swallow water, I managed to get in at the doctors and he said I had severe tonsilitis, they have even bled, which I didn't know could happen. Yesterday my 4 year old Bobby started with a virus which includes a sore throat, so it's probably from me, but he's at home with me and no school, and were giving each other lots of warm cuddles.

But hopefully i'm on the mend now, but feel I have missed so much in blogland and If I have done anything on the computer over this time it has been mainly DT Work. So a big apology for not visiting you and hopefully i'll back into the swing of things shortly.

Thank you for being so understanding and for all your well wishes.

Thank you for popping by, and have a good wekend
