Cupcakes

This week at Polkadoodles the theme is to follow a sketch and colour your image. I have followed the sketch by using papers from the All Around & Everywhere CD-Rom, and my image is Stamp Doodles Cupcake stand PDSD030, which was coloured with promarkers. I added stickles, gems some ribbon and a ticket sentiment.

Well it's here Christmas Eve, it came really quickly this year I think, I will definately be more organised next year. Just don't know what happened this year as I am a stickler for being organised with things, but i'm all ready now for it.

I hope you all have a Wonderful Christmas and a very Happy New Year.

And Happy Crafting if you get crafting goodies in your stocking.

Christmas Scene

Front

Inside, the wallet part.

I made this to put scratch cards in for my Dad as a stocking filler, I get him a £5's worth every Christmas, Birthday and Father's day. His real weakness is horses, he's no big gambler but he loves to watch the horse racing and put a couple of little bets on.
To make this I used a scene stamp but I have no idea what brand it is, but it really was gorgeous to colour and use. And although it isn't showing much there is a lot of stickles on my snow.

Well i'm finally all ready for the man in the red suit to come. I have just two more traditions to fulfil and that is to buy my Mum flowers on christmas eve as I have done this since I was about 8 years old, she loves flowers and at Christmas she loves some with red in. Our other tradition is to travel 1/2 hour to a gorgeous village near us called Otley on Christmas eve to a family butcher's shop that sells the best ever Pork Pies. We buy standard pork pies at £5's each, the whole family buy them and me and the hubby get the joyous job of travelling through beautiful scenery to go get them. My Husband has been a wagon driver most of his working life up until the last couple of years and can drive in any weather, so snow doesn't put us off.

This is for the following challenges:-
1. Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes
2. Stamp Something - Something with a tag or pocket
3. Papertake Weekly - Anything Goes
4. Crafts And Me - challenge # 20 - Anything Goes
5. Creative Craft Challenges - Anything Goes

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas and a very happy New Year

Today at Die Cut Dreams there is a new challenge, and the theme is "Seeing Triple", this means make three different, simple cards but one theme. So I have chosen some of my favourite stamps, Penny Black Hedgies. For different takes on the theme pop on over and see the rest of the DT creations, and it's one way of getting three more Christmas cards off your list. And you know Susie always has a good prize.
If you like the papers I have used on these cards they are a freebie from Jak Heath and you can find them here. They come in various colours I have used grey, blue and a pinky colour, but theres several others too. They are great quality and print off really well. My images were stamped with Versafine black then embossed with Holographic embossing powder, just to give a little extra sparkle.

Oh Christmas Tree

I really enjoyed doing this card, Penny Black Saturday inspired me to do this one, as they asked for "stamp on anything but white card". Last year my friend B x stamped me a couple of a gorgeous stamp called Majestic (found here at Sir Stampalot) and one of them she did on this gold card. So I added gems to the tree and then coloured and cut out these carol singing critters (also bought from Sir Stampalot here) as the bottom of my tree looked bare.

Have A Hoppy Christmas

Awww you can't see my new technique on this picture so I have done another photo, but the image is blurred because I went too close so you can see the sparkle. A few photo lessons wouldn't go a miss.

This technique I saw here on Dena's blog, and in real life it looks fabulous. You colour your image and then cover the whole thing in versamark. Then cover with irredescent embossing powder (I used holographic but it's the same effect). And it gives your whole image this gorgeous sparkle, saves on stickles etc too. And the great thing is, it won't shed like glitter.

This card and bookmark are for my Daughter's teacher, she loves frogs. I used a Penny Black image from the Holly Day Critters set I got from Sir Stampalot here. On the card I drew the snow and snowballs, stamped the frogs three times and gave them all different coloured santa hats.

This is for the following challenges:-
1. Stamp Something - Christmas Colour Combo
2. The Fuzzy Wuzzy Challenge - Christmas Something Or An-otter (Bookmark & Card)
3. ABC Christmas - Y is for Yuletide (Red & Green)
4. Fussy And Fancy Friday - week 25 - Anything But A Card (I'm entering the Bookmark)

Thank you for coming by my blog today, hope your all keeping warm

All About The Sentiment

The challenge this week at Polkadoodles is to use a sentiment as the focal point of your card.

I wanted to show how you can use the blank sentiment scalloped circles, from Sundae Of Seasons on this challenge theme. I used my own stamp for the sentiment, the blue gingham is from Sugar Birdies and I stamped my own little nappy pins on. The bottom paper, bow, and baby are all from Sundae of Seasons .

This is also for:-
1. Paperplay Challenges - week 48 - Monochrome
2. By The Cute And Girly - Decembers Challenge - Children
3. Cute Card Thursday - challenge 141 - The Blues
