A Couple Of Cuties

It's the first of the month so that means a new challenge for Sir Stampalot. And our theme this month is "it's a frame up", so you need to use a frame on your creation. I had to use this Sarah Kay as it worked so well with this frame I made, I just love Sarah Kay, they colour beautifully, I love the details in these stamps. If you want more inspiration for frames pop by our challenge blog and you will find the gorgeous creations from the rest of the team. So now for the prize kindly donated by Sir Stampalot, wouldn't you just love to get your hands on this:-

This is also for the following challenges:-
1. Creative Card Crew - Anything Goes
2. Paperplay challenges - week 35 - Make yourown flowers
3. MAWTT - challenge 114 - Handmade flowers
4. By The Cute & Girly - september - All things bright & beautiful

Now for the challenge at Penny Black @ Allsorts

This month at Penny Black @ Allsorts the theme is "Get ahead for christmas", so here's your chance to get a start on some christmas cards. And you know that the prizes are always brilliant too. Check out the challenge blog as you will find some fabulous inspiration from the rest of the DT.
I won this slapstick stamp over at Allsorts challenge and it's a gorgeous one to work with.
OK I know , don't all shout at once, my Penguins are so wrong. My 5 year old Bobby is obsessed with animals, he watches animal programes and has loads of books. So when he saw this card he said so sweetly, "It's ok Mum, you can give me this card for Christmas seen as you've done it wrong". Well I looked and I looked, then asked what I had done wrong, he said "real Penguins have black beaks and feet, only Penguins in the film Madagascar have orange feet and beaks". I was dumb founded, then he went on to tell me "Emperor Penguins have a little orange stripe on the side of there beaks though". Where does he store all that information in that little brain of his. Very silly of me as we go to a Zoo or Safari Park at least twice a year and then thinking about it they do have black beaks and feet.

This is for the following challenges:-
1. Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes - Hop
2. Crafty Creations - challenge # 134 - Dies 'N' Punches
3. Fab 'N' Funky - challenge # 88 - Go Mad With Embossing
4. Just Tracy's Crafts - spetember - Things With Wings - ( I googled penguins and this is what is says:-Penguins, like all birds, have wings. The difference is that these wings help them swim, not fly)

I would like to say a big thank you to everyone for their advice about my lost computer files, my hubby took it to PC world and after he told me all the jargon talk (please do not ask me to repeat it let alone understand it), it came down to the fact that they couldn't retrieve any of the lost files, but they did retrieve my photo's. So I am pleased about that as you can never get those moments back can you! I keep trying to write down what I had, but just can't remember half of them, probably will when I need one. A couple of girls have already sent me some Kenny K, so as for the rest I have resided myself to starting afresh. It will be a bit like a spring clean I suppose.

Thank you for popping by my blog
Happy crafting
Tracy x

What a little genius you have there Tracy lol. Thats a handy one to have around when colouring, didn't know that myself either. Love both your cards though, the frame is so girly and pretty and the penguins are definitely cute with their little orange beaks and happy feet. What a shame about your lost files!! If I have any images you know you lost just let me know and I will send them.

Tracy, you might like to buy an external hard drive [not expensive]and copy everything onto that as well....at least you'll know you've got copies of everything....especially precious photos.I back all mine up once a month.

So sorry to hear about the lost files Tracy, but what a relief that the photos still there to treasure. (An external hard drive is really worth it's prize for files to come.)

The cards are fab, love the pretty flower frame and the happy penguins, I also colour the beaks and feet orange, even though I'm a biology teacher. They do look more cheerful that way!
