Good morning my blogging friends.
Today is a Sunday and so it's time for a brand new challenge over at the Joanna Sheen Challenge. The theme this time is "Don't Be Square". And I received a gorgeous set of stamps to use for this challenge, Vintage Florals:-
So here's what I did, I made an easel card using Nesties that had been cut for me by a friend, I don't have any of these large ones yet, then for the background I took one of the stamps and stamped in distress inks, I used Frayed Burlap. Then using another stamp for my main image I coloured in Distress inks, I haven't coloured with distress inks for a while, it was nice going back to them. I added some vintage looking DP with punched borders, some pearls and lace. The sentiment was also from the stamp set too. To finish off I made a lace rosette with a rose in the centre:-
This was out of my comfort zone, for those off you who know me, it's not my usual style with the flowers, but I really enjoyed the challenge, and will be doing some more of these lace rosettes for embellishments, I liked how it turned out, it looks better in the flesh.
There is a £15 gift voucher up for grabs to the random lucky winner so why not come and join us!
And the rest of the team have made some fabulous creations, please do pay them a visit too.
