Going To The Dark Side!!

Hello May seems to be pretty good so far for the garden even if a little chilly at times, but I'm here as it's a new month for Stamping Sensations and Penny black & More @ Allsorts challenges, if you didn't get the chance to join in last month's challenges these could be the ones for you.

At Stamping Sensations this month the theme is 'Butterflies, Fairies and Fantasy', The perfect opportunity to ink up all those butterflies, fairies and other magical images, the choice is up to you but we do need to see something stamped and associated with the theme focally on your artwork.......a small punched or die cut Butterfly will not suffice.

And as you can see my card fits two of the subjects, Fairies and Fantasy.  You might think my card is a little on the dark side, but that is because it's for my daughter, who loves anything like this.

So a little about how I made this creation, I started with this Crafts & Me stamp kindly given to me by my friend Brenda who knew I would be using it for my daughter.  I masked a moon and used a yellow marker and Glamour Dust to highlight the edge of the moon.   I stamped some bats and a wrought iron fence.
The base background paper I made on some lilac paper, using a rose stamp and then inking with black soot and dusty concord Distress Inks. I took a Robert Addams Die and made the black lattice edges, then using some die cuts I was given, think they are Tim Holtz bird on a branch, i snipped of the bird then inked the branches, turned them on their sides and made them look like trunks.  I then took some grey gems to make berries on my trees.
I think that's it covered.

Our prize this Month is:-
The Mariposa Butterfly collection from Couture Creations

And of course, the Design Team have created some stunners to inspire you. Please do pay them a visit to their individual blogs - it means a lot to know you appreciate their efforts.

And now onto my second challenge creation for Penny black & More @ Allsorts, where the theme is to follow the photo inspiration below:-
May

So you can use any subject for this challenge. as long as it fits either the picture or the colour scheme.  i matched the colours and the flowers.  the cute stamp is one a friend stamped for me but I think I do need to get this stamp, I loved colouring it and think it's so cute.

We have prizes from Penny Black, Crafts U Love, Sizzix x 2 . Now isn't that a lot of prizes, definitely worth getting your stamps out isn't it!!!!!!

Now if you would like to be a GDT for us, all you need to do is make a creation to fit the theme following our rules.
