Welcome to my blog from a very wet Leeds, you can tell when the school holidays come as we seem to get lots of rain. My son Bobby spent the last couple of weeks in hot classrooms complaining when he came home, now it's raining most days, typical of school holidays.
It's a new month for
Stamping Sensations and
We Love Chocolate Baroque challenges, if you didn't get the chance to join in last month's challenges these could be the ones for you.
At
Stamping Sensations this month the theme is 'Any Celebration' , I've gone with a Birthday Celebration for my card this week, I started by stencilling the background in a subtle pink oxide, I then stamped my image and coloured with Distress Inks. And that's it really, simple but effective!
We have sponsorship this Month from
And of course, the Design Team have created some stunners to inspire you. Please do pay them a visit to their individual blogs - it means a lot to know you appreciate their efforts.
And now onto my second challenge creation for
We Love Chocolate Baroque, where the theme is 'Favourite Stamps' and my favourite from Chocolate Baroque is definitely
Honey Bee, I loved using these stamps for their shows in July so much, I've planted lots of flowers etc for the bees this year, it's great that in the garden centres the plants are labelled now to tell you which insects the plant will attract. So to create this card I stamped the bees randomly on the background and coloured each one with Spectrum Noir markers, then my topper in the centre I stamped the hive and also coloured with markers too. Matted and layered with black and yellow to finish. There is also glitter on for some sparkle.
Our prize:-
