Welcome to my post today, I have decided to give my House Mouse a turn and it’s nice to be finished with winter and Christmas themes.
I have kept this simple as I love this stamp and it just works standing alone with no fuss. I have used “Birthday Mischief” I have coloured my image with Castle Arts pencils, they are new and I now have three different collections. They are so soft and blend beautifully. The background is done with Distress Inks and some Glossy Accents on the balloon.
I would like to enter the following challenges:-
1. House Mouse and Friends Monday Challenge, - #431 - Something New (I am using new pencils to colour with)
2. Double “D” Challenge - Birthdays
3. Simon Says Stamp Monday - Something New (new pencils to colour with)

Hi Tracy, lovely to see you back blogging. This is a gorgeous card - very cute image and beautifully coloured.
I’m very interested to hear about your new colouring pencils. I’ve been thinking about getting colouring pencils for a change from my other colouring media, and thought I might like Prismacolor but they are very expensive, so I’ve been thinking about alternatives given that I won’t be a heavy user of them. I was looking at some pencils today which ASLL & Create have got in stock ( and promptly sold out!) called Faber Castell Black Edition - they are very well reviewed - but I have also been looking at Castle Arts. I see from your post that you like them and they certainly have given a good result on your mice and balloon. So much to think about … xx
Hi Pauline
Thank you for your lovely comment Pauline. I have Derwent inktense pencils and I love them but when you add the water to blend they can bleed.
I have found I have a lot more control with the Castle Art pencils. I have three sets now, I like them so much, I have the basic set with 120 pencils for £34.99 then I got a set of 72 Harmoniously and a set of48 Pastel tint.
They are soft and do blend, but I’ve never used Prismacolor so can’t compare. Hope this helps
Happy crafting

Super cute card Tracy :-) I love this cheeky image and the colours, and your colouring are fabulous! A slice of happiness! I love the sentiment, but am not sure how happy the little mouse is going to be with a rude awakening haha ;-)
Happy New Year!
