I had to do the challenge over at House Mouse this time and it gave me a chance to use one of my favourite stamps, aren't these little critters so cute sheltering from the rain under these Autumn leaves.

I used this stamp which is called Autumn Sprinkles, and cut up one of my favourite papers which I have been saving for I don't know what, but it just went so well with the colours I had used for this stamp. The other reason for today's card is House Mouse & friends challenge blog posted about a challenge over at Midnight Madness Sketch challenge, where there are four fantastic House Mouse stamps up for grabs, I just couldn't resist as they are so gorgeous. Changes At Sir Stampalot

Good Morning
I'm would like to give you a heads up about a change to our challenge over at Sir Stampalot challenge blog.
As from November the starting date of challenges will be the first Sunday of the month instead of the 1st of the month, which means that most months, our challenge will run until the end of the month................unless the first Sunday falls on the first of the month...............but rather than complicate things here there will be a list of exact dates on the sidebar to make life easier for us all.
Apart from that everything remains the same, fun themes, great prizes from Sir Stampalot, our monthly Top 3 and of course inspiration from the Design Team.
This months challenge will run until midnight GMT on 31st October and the next challenge will start on Sunday 6th November. So you still have time to join in this months challenge, if you would like.

Changes At Penny Black & More @ Allsorts

Hello everybody, I have some exciting news for you and at last I can share it with you.
There are going to be a few changes to our challenge Penny Black @ Allsorts, but I think they are going to make it even better than before and allow lots more of you to join in.

We are opening up the challenge entry criteria and starting with our November challenge you will be able to use any stamp on your work, although strictly no digi images.
And we are changing the day of our challenges which in future will launch on the first Sunday of the month instead of 1st of the month.

There will still be lots of prizes on offer and all eligible entries will go into the draw, plus there will be an additional prize each month for entries using a Penny Black stamp or stickeroo.

And as if all that was not enough, we will be having a “Who’s in the Spotlight” feature every month. The DT will be keeping an eye open as they go on their rounds and mid month we will feature two entries which stand out to us. Those entries will be able to display our special logo.
There will be a slight change to our name to take account of these changes and in future we will be know as ‘Penny Black and more at Allsorts’

Over the next couple of weeks there will be updating the information on our sidebar and will also list dates of the next few challenges so you can easily check what is happening when, but I can tell you that the next challenge will start on 6th November and the current one will run until midnight GMT on 31st October.

Now you may wonder why we are making these changes and think we have fallen out of love with our precious Penny Black stamps, but nothing could be further from the truth and the DT will all continue to use them on their DT work.
But we do realise that not everybody is lucky enough to own Penny Black stamps and has been prevented from joining in previously. So we hope the changes will make it easier for more of you to join in the fun and also have the opportunity to win the stamps on offer from Penny Black and our other sponsors so you can start your very own Penny Black collection.

I love it when my hubby goes for dog food at the Range as he treats me to something new for crafting, well I was with him and he actually picked well, I didn't put it back and swap what he chose for something else, (I usually do LOL!) He bought me this cute Fizzy Moon stamp and the border punch, and believe it or not the punch which is a Fiskars was only £1.99.

I would like to enter this into:-

Charisma Cardz - challenge # 36 - Inspired By A Song (my song is Dreaming Of A White Christmas)

Recipe:-

Stamp - Fizzy Moon (that includes the sentiment too), poinsettia stamp by Polkadoodles,

Papers - Polkadoodles,

Colouring Mediums - Distress Inks,

Tools - Border punch, nesties, cuttlebug,

Embellishments - pearls, glitter, stickles, ribbon,

Have a good week, and thank you for popping by.

Sir Stampalot "Freebie Friday"

Sir Stampalot are promoting a new weekly feature, starting tomorrow. It’ll be called ‘Freebie Friday’ and will be sent via their email newsletter, so if you want to join in, you’ll need to sign up for the newsletter before end of day today (follow link below):-

http://www.onlineitools.com/nl/nl-subscribe.php?bus_id=3091&list_id=1

Alternatively, you can go to the Sir Stampalot web site and sign up at the "Stay in Touch" "Sign up to Smudges" link on the left hand side of the home page.

A Couple Of Cuties

It's the first of the month so that means a new challenge for Sir Stampalot. And our theme this month is "it's a frame up", so you need to use a frame on your creation. I had to use this Sarah Kay as it worked so well with this frame I made, I just love Sarah Kay, they colour beautifully, I love the details in these stamps. If you want more inspiration for frames pop by our challenge blog and you will find the gorgeous creations from the rest of the team. So now for the prize kindly donated by Sir Stampalot, wouldn't you just love to get your hands on this:-

This is also for the following challenges:-
1. Creative Card Crew - Anything Goes
2. Paperplay challenges - week 35 - Make yourown flowers
3. MAWTT - challenge 114 - Handmade flowers
4. By The Cute & Girly - september - All things bright & beautiful

Now for the challenge at Penny Black @ Allsorts

This month at Penny Black @ Allsorts the theme is "Get ahead for christmas", so here's your chance to get a start on some christmas cards. And you know that the prizes are always brilliant too. Check out the challenge blog as you will find some fabulous inspiration from the rest of the DT.
I won this slapstick stamp over at Allsorts challenge and it's a gorgeous one to work with.
OK I know , don't all shout at once, my Penguins are so wrong. My 5 year old Bobby is obsessed with animals, he watches animal programes and has loads of books. So when he saw this card he said so sweetly, "It's ok Mum, you can give me this card for Christmas seen as you've done it wrong". Well I looked and I looked, then asked what I had done wrong, he said "real Penguins have black beaks and feet, only Penguins in the film Madagascar have orange feet and beaks". I was dumb founded, then he went on to tell me "Emperor Penguins have a little orange stripe on the side of there beaks though". Where does he store all that information in that little brain of his. Very silly of me as we go to a Zoo or Safari Park at least twice a year and then thinking about it they do have black beaks and feet.

This is for the following challenges:-
1. Simon Says Stamp - Anything Goes - Hop
2. Crafty Creations - challenge # 134 - Dies 'N' Punches
3. Fab 'N' Funky - challenge # 88 - Go Mad With Embossing
4. Just Tracy's Crafts - spetember - Things With Wings - ( I googled penguins and this is what is says:-Penguins, like all birds, have wings. The difference is that these wings help them swim, not fly)

I would like to say a big thank you to everyone for their advice about my lost computer files, my hubby took it to PC world and after he told me all the jargon talk (please do not ask me to repeat it let alone understand it), it came down to the fact that they couldn't retrieve any of the lost files, but they did retrieve my photo's. So I am pleased about that as you can never get those moments back can you! I keep trying to write down what I had, but just can't remember half of them, probably will when I need one. A couple of girls have already sent me some Kenny K, so as for the rest I have resided myself to starting afresh. It will be a bit like a spring clean I suppose.

Pink & Passed

My sister asked me to make this for someone who she knows who has just passed her test. The requirements were very "Pink and Girly". The image is a digi that I printed out a while back, but if you read yesterday's post I no longer have it due to losing files from my computer. 3. Passion For Promarkers - week 115 - Anything Goes

A Gift Box

I hope everyone is having a good Bank Holiday monday. Today see's another challenge over at Die Cut Dreams, and the theme this time is to make a gift box or bag. We are sponsored by our lovely DT buddy Lynne at Crafts 4 You, check out her store as she has a Bank Holiday Bonanza on. The team have made the most wonderful creations, so plenty of inspiration to see.

I lost a big lump of my week last week trying to get back a load of files lost on my computer, they had a lot of digi images and backing papers I have bought and won, photographs and word documents. I have checked every file and the recycling bin, searched every possible way and they have definately gone. I have managed to get a few images back through going back into e-mails, but ones like Kenny K can't be downloaded a second time. So i'm wondering if one of the kids has done it by accident. But I was quite pi**ed off last week, I had quite a lot of DT work to do which isn't always easy with 3 kids fighting around you, so losing all my stuff on the computer was the last thing I needed.

This Gift box is also for:-
1. Creative Card Crew - Handmade flowers
2. Creative Inspirations - Last Challenge - Recipe - set 3 Vintage, ribbon, flowers
3. Dutch Dare - #127 - Anything But A card
4. I Brake For Challenges - C8 - Shabby Chic
5. Creative Craft Challenges - Anything But A card

Twice The Love

I have made this card for my twin nephews, my sister and nephews went on Holiday on Saturday to Skegness, and on Monday my nephew Brad fell off a climbing frame and broke both his arms, the left arm he has broken in two places and the right in one place. So he is potted up on both arms, he had to have an overnight stay in hospital to decide whether to minipulate the bones. Thank goodness they decided not to.
I know what they went through as my son Scott went through the same thing at the same age, 5 years old, he broke his arm in two place but on consecutive weeks went down to surgey twice for minipulation doing, as the bones wouldn't stay in line to knit back togehter, and spent 4 months in pot upto his shoulder.

It has been so hard on both twins as they don't like being apart, so both found this quite traumatic, and the hospital wouldn't allow Jake to stay with Brad overnight, understandably. So my card is for both of them, and as they share everything and are always together, this image just reminded me of them.

I have coloured this in Promarkers and stamped on Letraset bleed proof paper. I used glossy accents for the glass.

This is for the following challenges:-
1. The Sweet Shop - challenge # 121 - Sketch (first time at this challenge blog)
2. Simon says Stamp - Food & Drink
3. Papertake Weekly - Bingo - Middle row (Buttons, Ribbon and my free one is brads)
4. Deep Ocean - challenge # 6 - Light Blue
5. CES Challenges - challenge # 49 - Mix & Match (my two papers are from 2 companies one being Papermania, sorry but I can't remeber the brand of the very pale blue spotted one)

Recipe:-
Stamps - LOTV, Woodland folk sentiment,
Papers - Papermania,
Colouring Mediums - Promarkers,
Tools - Border punch,
Embellishments - brads, ribbon, button, crochet thread, glossy accents.

Hope your having a good week, thank you for popping by.
