The Prize for the new challenge #5 is a GDT spot for challenge #7 that starts on the 28th of January,if you are picked as the winner you will be asked to make a GDT project/card for the challenge after the next which we will need you to email us by the 25th of January.

For this card I have used a Penny Black image called "Sharing a Moment", and has been coloured with Distress Inks. I've added lace and ribbon and some pearls into the flowers. I have glittered the flowers for my dose of sparkle. The papers are In My Minds Eye, Wild asparagus i think.

Rosie-D's DT Call

At Rosie-D's challenge blog they are having a DT Call, it ends on Saturday 2nd January so there's still time to apply. All they are asking for is a "New Year " card and a piece of altered art. So I have altered a soap powder tablet box, I have done these before but decided now Christmas is over I needed somewhere to store my Christmas stamped images. I always stamp out a full sheet and this is how I store the left overs. So here it is

Then this is my "New Years" card, I've added lots of stickles to the stars and the party hats.

Now you can apply as well and join in their challenges as they are good.

Hope everyone has a great new year and all the best for 2010.

No Rules!

This card is for:-

Crafty Creations - challenge 47 - No Rules

There are no rules over at Crafty Creations this week, so i'm entering this card I have made for a DT Buddies husband who is a Footie Ref.

This is a quick post as I am taking the kids to the Panto tonight to see Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs, It's my youngest son's first time, but he's nearly four so I think he'll sit still and watch it.

Shall I give you a quick laugh before I go, my youngest son was sat with me the other evening watching tele, I was watching Amanda Holden training to be a midwife. There was a very pregnant lady layed on a bed being examined. "Wow look at her fat belly mummy" my 3 year old son said. "I know she has a baby in there, just like when you was a baby, Bobby, in my tummy" I told him. "Aren't you nasty mam, you eat me" his startled reply was.

He thought that I had eaten him when he was a baby and kept him in my tummy, I still laugh when I think of what he said. Hope it gives you a little giggle!

A Gift wallet

This gift wallet is for:-

1. Passion For Promarkers - Anything but a card,Christmas theme

2. Allsorts - week 32 - Anything but a card

3. Stamp Something - Holiday Something

4. Creative Inspirations - challenge 23 - Christmas Gift

I've made this for my Dad as a stocking filler, he likes an odd scratch card and doing the lottery, so there will be a couple of lottery lucky dips going in here too. I hope he shares if he wins Lol!

Passion For Promarkers is anything but a card, I hope this qualifies as it's not actually a card but a gift wallet.

Allsorts is also Anthing but a card too.

Stamp Something is Holiday something, which is something to remind you of the holiday season.

Creative Inspirations is a Christmas gift and my gift wallet is holding a Christmas gift.

I hope your all ready for Christmas, I have 3/4 of my wrapping done, and i'm almost there with the housework, although with three kids as I clean one room and move on to the next they've already left their mark on the first. Tomorrow I'm gonna go for my food shop, then Christmas eve at 8.00am we're up and off to Otley for our standard pork pies. They are the best ever and every year we do the same trip. It's about a half hour drive there, and we pick them up for my mam and dad too. But believe me they are really worth it!!!!!!!!

I don't know if i'll have another post before Christmas day so Have a very merry Christmas, and a peaceful one.

Thank you to all that who have left such lovely comments.

3. Creative Inspirations - challenge 23 - "Christmas Gifts"

4. Stamp Something - "Holiday6 Something"

5. Allsorts - week 32 - Anything but a card

I have made these Milk Cartons for my three kids, my twin nephews and My youngest sons friend Poppy. I have filled them with chocolate coins and sweets. They are for them to have on Christmas eve, just to give them a bit of something to open early. In the photo's I have tried to show each side of the carton, and there's a different image on each side.

Passion For Promarkers has the theme of Anything but a card, with a Christmas themeand Allsorts is also Anything but a card too. Stamp Something is to make something that reminds you of the holiday season. Creative Inspirations is to make a Christmas Gift but not a card. Rosie-Dees challenge is Rudolph, and there is a Rudolph with a bright red nose on one side of each carton.

Well we have a beautiful carpet of snow outside, and when we went shopping earlier Jack Frost was definately nipping at our noses. I'm still not ready for Christmas and keep coming up with some last minute makes, but I really must get the pressies wrapped and do all my cleaning and put the crafting on the back burner.

Oh Dear I just remembered I need to make a wallet card for my Dads lottery tickets and scratch cards, I always get him 3 scratch cards and do two lottery lucky dips as a little wrap up for him.

So stay warm, and have a wonderful Christmas.

Santa Mouse

This card is for:-

1. Creative Card Crew - Anything Goes

2. Incy Wincy Designs - challenge 22 - Father Christmas

I've gone for a simple look with this card, as the paper is quite busy, and I fancied a change from adding loads of flowers and embellishments. Still had to use stickles though and a ticket. If you like the tickets you can get them Here at Lisa'a shop at a very reasonable price, in fact you'll be shocked at how little she charges. And she's such a lovely lady too, but does like a joke !

Creative Card Crew has a great theme "anything goes" and they are having a DT Call, and you have till the 4th Jan.

Incy Wincy Designs theme is Father Christmas, I hope my little mouse can take part as he is getting dressed up as Santa.

Well I keep saying that this is the last Christmas card i'm making, then I remember somebody else to make one for or I get another order.

I still haven't finished buying presents, I haven't even started to wrap anything yet. And as for my cleaning and shopping, well I'm hoping Santa might have some little helpers he can lend me.

Happy crafting

Henry With Cocoa

This is for:-
1.Whiff Of Joy - challenge # 58 - Sparkle, Sparkle, Sparkle
2. Saturday Spotlight - Christmas Music

You might think you've seen this before, well yes you've seen something similar. Someone saw the one I had made and asked me to do one similar for them.
It's for Whiff Of joy and they have the theme of Sparkle, Sparkle, Sparkle. There's plenty on here.
Saturday Spotlight wants you to use Music on your creation, so I've used a sheet of Music as backing paper on my card.

This is just a quick post, my Boys are now feeling much better so I can get on with the preperations for Christmas.

Merry Christmas to all

Another Order With Lots Of Sparkle

This card is for:-
1. Stamp Something - Winter Wonderland
2. Sophisti-cats - challenge # 15 - Xmas Theme
3. Die Cut Dreams - cjhallenge # 27 - Glitter me Silly

I just couldn't get the right photo with today's cards, But in the flesh I really like this one. I've had an order for another two cards and this is one of them. I have recently made three of these cards in these colours trying to make them a bit more masculine, and now I have sold two of them for orders. The image is a Penny Black and is fab, I got it from my friend Brenda and I'm now thinking I really do need to get this stamp.
Stamp Something have the theme of Winter Wonderland and this bear looks like he's walking through a Winter Wonderland to me.
Sophisti-cats have made it easy this week and just give us the theme Xmas Theme.
Die Cut Dreams said Glitter Me Silly and I've done that by using plenty of stickles and glamour dust.

Merry Christmas Everybody

Another card for an order, I love this mouse Henry, and these are my favourite Christmas papers, but I got them in a sale ages ago and they are discontinued. The ticket sentiment is from Lisa's shop Here . And the flowers have been embossed with gold embossing powder using a flourish stamp.
I'm entering it into Friday Sketchers.

Puppy Parcels

This is for:-
Crafty Creations - challenge # 45 - Christmas for my pet

I've had an order on Friday for 4 Christmas cards to be made, they've chosen images from my blog and given me colours to use etc.... They've asked me to be careful with the embellishments as they will be going in the post.
So I thought i would enter this one in the Crafty Creations challenge which is Christmas for my pet and this has a pet on it.

Lots Of Toys

This card is to be entered in:-
Truly Scrumptious - challenge 22 - sketch + vellum

I have made this card for Bobby's nursery class as they have asked us not to send individual cards to each child, but to send one to the whole class. Then put a contribution into the fund. I used the Truly Scrumptious sketch, and they had an added challenge of using vellum. The lemony colour behind Santa is actually gold vellum with white snowflakes, only the colour hasn't shown too well. I wanted to keep it simple as the toy backing paper is quite busy and bright but ideal for the children.

A little up date about my boys to those of you who ask and send good wishes, Bobby my youngest is much better, just a bit of a cough left now. My Eldest was back to the doctor again yesterday, still no better. They have given him some more anti-biotics to be taken with the ones he's already on and an inhaler to be used when he is short of breath or his chest is hurting. When both courses of anti-biotics have been taken they will see if he's asthmatic.
So I can't see him being back at school before Monday, it's a shame as he's been off 2 weeks now and earlier in the year he slipped on ice broke his foot (metatarsil) and tore a ligament in his foot, and was off for 6 weeks, I've had a letter asking me to explain all the absenses this year from school. I've rang them and asked if they read their files before asking these questions, there short answer was NO!

Oh well we'll get everything right before Christmas hopefully.
Have a nice evening

Frosty The Snowman

This card is for:-
1. Sketch Saturday - sketch # 80
2. A Spoonful Of Sugar - challenge 81 - Monochrome
3. Creative Card Crew - challenge 40 - "Gold or Silver"
4. Cupcake Crafts - challenge 69 - "Christmas Song"
5. Simon Says Stamp - "Let it snow"
6. Papertake Weekly - Red and green must not be seen

This card is for my three year old's best friend at Nursery, Bobby chose which image and papers I had to use, he was quite specific and asked for it to be shiny, and he's quite pleased with the result. Glad I could oblige Lol!

Sketch saturday is a great sketch and is a good one if your looking for something that's quite quick.
A Spoonful Of Sugar's theme is Monochrome, all tones of the same colour. So I used all blues to suit my snowman.
Creative Card crew is to use Gold or Silver and I chose to use silver on my card.
Cupcake Craft Challenge wants a Christmas song and I went with Frosty The Snowman!
Simon Says Stamp Let it Snow was the challenge here and my snowman says it all.
Papertake Weekly says Red and green must not be seen and there isn't even a hint of it here.

This award was given to me by the lovely Pops, click on her name and take a look around her blog as she has some of the most beautiful creations there.
I'm supposed to list 7 things about myself, but i've already done this in a post further down. And I need to pass it on, but what i'd like to do is say if anyone who visits me enjoys your look around please take this award with my love.

Have a good day

A Pink Christmas Set

This is for:-

1. Cute Card Thursday - challenge 89 - "Swirly Girly"

2. Incy Wincy Designs - challenge 21 - "Snowflakes"

3. Simon Says Stamp - So charming

This is an order I got from a friend who has a little girl in Bobby's class at Nursery, she had seen the ones I made Bobby so if they look familiar I have done a set in blue. These Hangers are great to use, I bought them from Die Cut Dreams and they came the next day, Susie has a wonderful service.

Thank you for all the well wishes for my boys, Bobby the youngest has now gone back to Nursery after contracting a 24 hour sickness bug on top of the cough and everything. But he's much better now. But Scott my Eldest lad who was at the doctors over a week ago got worse over the week, and Sunday he was rushed to our nearest medical centre as he was coughing up blood. He has now got a lung infection, so what was the doctor listening to last week when she was supposed to have been listening to his chest and lungs. Westlife, Rhianna maybe?????? It has taken at least 2 weeks for this to have set in , but now the Doctors are covering one anothers backs and saying sometimes it isn't detectable. This is a 14 year old boy who I told the doctor he couldn't even get to the top of ours stairs without having breathing problems. And now when the infection has gone he has to be tested for Asthma cos of scar tissue on his lungs.

And now to top it all off I have Sinusitis, what a bum deal. And then we received bad news this morning, my Husband's good friend who has been suffering with cancer for the last 2 years died at 7 o'clock this morning, my hubby was with him over the weekend but knew his time had come. But still has hit him hard.

Sorry for such a miserable post, hope you all are having a better time than us.

4. Rosie-Dee's - challenge 59 - Red, Green and a bit of Bling
5. Creative Inspiration Wednesdays - challenge 37 - Christmas card and Tag set

I did some more gold embossing on this card around the stamped image and my ticket. It's lovely for Christmas cards, and works so well with vintage.
Creative Inspirations have a fab sketch but in the centre for the image it is a circle but I swapped it for a rectangle, as my image didn't look right in a circle.
Stampin' For The Weekend have a colour combo of Red, Green and Gold, just right for Christmas cards, nice and traditional.
Stamp Something requested us to use something Glitzy, on my card I have glitters on the candle flame, around the fur on his hat. There's also gems and gold embossing.
Rosie-Dee's, this is my first time joining in their challenges and they want a colour combo of Red, Green and a bit of Bling, my card has all of these.

This card I tried something I've only done once before, I used gold embossing powder and stamped some flourishes on to my red flowers, heated it up and the flowers take on quite a vintage look which is what I wanted. So i was happy with that effect and will use it again.

Allsorts asked for buttons too.
Cupcake Crafts has a colour combo of Red and Green.

A Different Colour!

This Gift card is for:-
1. Stampin For The Weekend - challenge 26 - Lilac and Silver + a gift wallet
2. Sophsiti-cats - challenge ~ 13 - Snowflakes and Sparkles
3. A Spoonful Of sugar - challenge 80 - No Traditional Christmas Colours
4. Crafty Cardmakers - challenge # 9 - Non Traditional Colours

I have made this gift wallet for my sister, as she's saving for a laptop and asked me to give her money for Christmas this year. I'm normally a traditional girl when it comes to Christmas colours, so this was a bit slow to get started at first, but once I'd picked the colours it all fell into place.
Stampin For The Weekend gave a colour combo of Lilac and Silver which i've used, the silver is mirror board. It also had to be a gift wallet and tag, my tag is on the inside to give me something to write my message on.
Sophisti-cats theme is snowflakes and sparkles, I've layered and glittered a snowflake on the top corner and put stickles on the cuffs, boots and muff on my Lizzie image.
A Spoonful of sugar asked for non traditional Christmas colours and since I've used Lilac it fits the challenge.
Crafty cardmakers also wants us to use non traditional Christmas colours.

I have been one lucky girly today, I won second prize over at Debbi's in her Promarker giveaway.
Then I also won at Tellen's place for my sexy Santa card. It cheered me up no end after such a rubbish week with my poor boys being poorly.

Christmas Anya

This is for:-
1. Anyone For Anya? - "Make A Fake"
2. Sketch and Stash - challenge 24 - sketch

At Anyone For Anya the challenge is to "make a fake", so on my Anya I used flock as fake fur.
Sketch and Stash has a fab sketch this week and you have to name your new, never used or neglected stash. Mine is using Flock for the very first time, I think I need to use it a couple of times to get the hang of it.

To be honest not keen on the feel of Flock after using it for the very first time on this card, it's like cotton wool and I don't like the feel of that either. it makes me cringe, but i do like the result with the flock.

Well I want to apologise if I'm not getting around to everyone's blogs for a visit, as my two boys are not very well at the moment. My eldest has tonsilitis and a cough which is making is chest sore. And my youngest has croup again with rather a nasty chesty cough, sore throat and runny nose during the day and blocked at night.
Last night was bad, one or the other of the boys had me up at least every hour, they couldn't sleep, then there was steaming in the bathroom for the croup, then one of them needed a drink etc... etc. But what I can't understand is how can they be up all night then awake all day too.
But bless them they are suffering and I rang the emergency doctors but they are not classed as an emergency, so I was told just to keep them on simple linctus and paracetamol.
So I'm shattered but will try and get round to as many blogs as I can.

Christmas Love

This card is for:-
1. Penny black Saturday - challenge # 76 - "winter wonderland"
2. Sunday Sketch And Stamp - challenge # 16 - Sketch
3. A Spoonful Of Sugar - challenge # 79 - Brown and Blue
4. Papertake Weekly - "Christmas Crackers"

Penny Black Saturday has the theme of "Winter Wonderland", there is also a bloghop going on and a competition too aswell as the usual challenge.
Sunday Sketch And Stamp has a great sketch to use.
A Spoonful Of Sugar has a colour combo, which is Brown and then you can add either pink or blue, I chose blue.
Papertake weekly's theme is "Christmas Crackers" which is a pretty open theme this week.

Now onto something else, if you saw my post previous to this you will have seen that I won some digital tickets from Lisa at

click Here to visit. Well last night I received three different sheets, Christmas, Love and mixed sentiments, and I couldn't believe how great they were when I printed them out. There is one on my card above. I printed a sheet of each on cream card and a sheet of each on textured white card. The quality is brilliant and I love them. Lisa doesn't charge alot for them and you can ink them or chalk them like I have done. They will be ideal for vintage but also great for the up to date stuff too. I've found a new way for sentiments on my card, I know others have been using them for a while but they are new for me to play with, and the best thing of all once you've bought them you can print as many as you want.

Hope you all have a great weekend.

Puppy Surprise!

This card is for this weeks challenge at Friday Sketchers, it is a brilliant sketch. I made the card for my friend for Christmas. She has 3 dogs and I know she will love the image on this one. The papers are Papermania I think as I bought them in the sales at the beginning of the year. The stamp is a Helz Cuppleditch called Surprise! The colours are a bit different for me as i'm a traditionalist with reds and greens, I also like the icy blues.

I've also won a candy today of some tickets from the lovely Lisa, you can also get them Here too!

Thanks for taking a look

Thank You little Mouse!

This is for:-
1. Lili Of The Valley - challenge # 41- - Sketch
2. Stamp something - "Thank You's"

I love this image which is from my friend Brenda, who goes that extra mile and heat embosses the image too, Ta love. Brenda has an eye problem at the moment and it is preventing her from spending time on the computer, hope it improves quickly Brenda. And I feel it is ideal to put on a Thank You card. Don't know what has happened to blogger but it won't let me change the colour of the font. That tool has disappeared all together.
Lili Of The Valley have a great sketch to use.
Stamp Something has a theme of "Thank You's", and I'm always needing a Thank you card so I don't mind putting the Christmas cards on hold to do one of these.

I've also received an Award from my blogging buddy Fiona.

I need to state 5 facts but I did this in the last post for an award, so instead of boring everyone i'll just pass it on to the ladies on the Design Team with me for Susie's Sassy challenge.

1. I have passed exams and i'm a fully qualified Manicurist, including nail extentions. But couldn't follow through with it as a career as I have a phobia about touching people and people touching me. I only passed my exams as I used my Mam and Sister on the exam.

2. My most wanted craft item that i've been wanting for ages and still haven't got yet is a Cuttlebug. Awwww.....

3. I love the Twilight saga's and enjoyed the films, but the films are no where near as good as the books.

4. As a keen reader I have all the books, and read them, that Josephine Cox has written which is a total of 36, but she has also written under another name and they are thriller books.

5. I have given birth to three children without any pain relief, but i'm petrified of the dentist.

6. When I was a kid I had rough Collie dogs, my husband also had rough collies as a kid too, now that's what I call Spooky!

7. My Mum, Me and my youngest son Bobby all weighed 6lb 13oz at birth, weird! Same weight through three generations.

Told you they'd be a bit dull, not very good at talking about myself. And once I press Publish Post I'll think of something worth tellilng Lol!

Now to pass it on to 5 lovely Ladies:-
In no particular order

Gone Fishing

This is for:-
1. Papertake Weekly - Sketch
2. Crafty Creations - challenge # 42 - metal/metallic finishes
3. Die cut Dreams - challenge # 24 - "Puppy Love"

This card is another one for my Cousin in America as it's his Birthday on New Year's Eve. He goes hunting and fishing with his Dad in Oregon, so I think he'll like this fishing Dandelion dog.
I don't know about you but I'm having such problems with Blogger at the moment, it won't let me put my post on properly, I can't see the photo of my card as i'm writing this and it's not letting me change the colour of the font either. There's other problems like it won't let me leave comments on blogs half the time at the moment. Then I keep losing things in my sidebar. So please bear with me if you think I'm not leaving comments, I can assure you i'm trying.
Papertake weekly gave us a great sketch and it came in for a masculine card too.
Crafty Creations wanted metal or metallic finishes, so I chose to use gold mirror board and corners.
Die Cut dreams gave the theme "Puppy Love" and I just love this fishing dog.

Santa's Coming To Town

This card is for:-

1. Die Cut Dreams - challenge # 23 - "Santa"

2. Creative Craft Challenge - challenge # 3 - Sketch

3. Cute Card Thursday - challenge # 87 - "Teens"

4. Allsorts - week 28 - Christmas Carol or Song Title

I have made this card for my cousin who is at university in Oregon in America, we miss him and it's worse at this time of year although he did come home in the summer. He's 19 and the economy is bad over there at the moment so he's finding it difficult.

Die Cut Dreams wants to see a Santa, I used the Sarah kay Santa, he's lovely and traditional.

Creative Craft Challenge has a great sketch to use.

Cute Card Thursday want a card for a teenager and I think you still class 19 as a teenager.

Allsorts have a theme of a Christmas Carol or a song Title, I have chosen "Santa Clause Is Coming To Town".

I have glazed the candy cane on this, and used glmour dust on Santa's fur. He's painted using mainly Distress Inks.

For A friend

This card is for:-

1. Sophisti-cats - challenge # 11 - Sketch

2. Cupcake Crafts - Digital Images

3. Colour Create - challenge 32 - Red, Green and White

I've done this card with a vintage feel and used Distress inks for colouring all of the image, i'm really improving with these and enjoy using them. I've distressed all the edges with Aged Mahogany, usually I struggle with this colour as it's so deep but it went ok this time. I have made this card for my friend Sarah, her little girl Poppy goes to Nursery with my youngest Bobby. Poppy is adorable and she gets on well with Bobby, and they make lovely friends.

Sophisticats gave us a brilliant sketch to use and one that can be used again and again.

Cupcake Crafts asked us to use a digital image and my image can be found at Simply Inger, check her blog out she has some wonderful creations. Her work is totally amazing and a real inspiration. If you like elegant, vintage and stunning her blog is the place to be. I pop over there all the time even when there's nothing new on, as I still look through what I've seen before and I still get amazed at the beautiful works of art.

Colour Create has a colour combo this time which is Red, Green and White. And ideal for all those Christmas cards we need to do.

DT Card - Pink and Sparkly

This card is my DT Card for challenge # 2 over at Susie's Sassy challenge and the theme is "Pink and Sparkly". So fun can be had with this one as you can get your glitters and gems out, and have a great time using as much sparkle as you want. This is the great prize on offer this time

I had some problems getting sparkle to show on my photo, after a day of dullness and rain the only picture I could get then had a lot of background. But it made me grit my teeth and have a go at cropping a photo. But now I can't remember how to do it again, what a dunce Lol!

This card is also for:-
1. Allsorts - week 27 - Anything made for a child
2. Create 4 Fun - week 46 - sketch

Allsorts asked us to do anything made for a child, and this is for any little girl who dreams of being a ballerina.
Create 4 Fun have given us a sketch and it was great to use.

Please play along with us over at Susie's Sassy Challenge, it's a great challenge which you can combine with other challenges and it's worth giving it a go for the fab prize.

For My Husband

This card is for:-

1. Stamps Something - Sketch Something

2. Penny black saturday - challenge 75 - "Christmas For The Guys"

3. Creatalicious Challenge - challenge # 4 - Snowflake and sparkle

4. Crafty cardmakers - challenge 8 - "Clear As Day"

5. Creative Inspiration - challenge 36 - "Sparkle"

6. Simon says Stamp - "Animal Antics"

Firstly this card is for my Husband for Christmas, I used this image a couple of weeks ago on an all white card and he liked it so that was a tip on what to use for his.

Stamps Something gave a fantastic sketch which has kept the card easy to use for a masculine card.

Penny black Saturday has a theme of "Christmas For The Guys", so this gave me the chance to get the Hubby's card done.

Creatalicious challenge is to make something for Christmas including snowflakes and lots of sparkle, this card has both.

Crafty Cardmakers challenge this week is "Clear As Day", which is to use something clear such as acetate. Ihave taken a couple of photo's so I don't know if you can see, I have punched two acetate snowflakes then covered them in glitter. Then I've stacked five assorted snowflakes using silicone to give height.

Creative Inspirations theme is "Sparkle", there's no shortage here.

Simon says stamp Animal Antics, and this is definately an antic, the hedgehog balancing on the bears back to post his Christmas mail. Awwww, and they are animals.

I would like to tell my friend Brenda, that I'm thinking about you, and I hope there's some improvement with your eye soon. Your a great blogging friend and an inspiration too me, how you still manage to knock such beautiful cards out when your unwell is beyond me. Speak soon love.
