Frolicking In The Snow

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning  and our last challenge before Christmas, so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.

This week is our lovely Kath's turn to host and she would like to see 'Sparkle & Shine'

I made two cards for this challenge, the first I  created by using Oxides for the background.  then created a snow scene, stamping trees and hares, and the snow was created with Embossing powder and moondust glitter.  The second card i used a snow globe die cut that I received in a swap, I created the scene from a magazine freebie.  The edge is done with Lavinia's moondust in holographic which sparkles so much.

A Challenge Of Christmas gifts

This started as a MDF Tag, first one I've ever decorated.

Good Morning bloggers, it's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts.

This is a plain black Diary for 2021 which is for a Birthday gift my Daughter is giving to her friend.

This is the Diary wrapped and tagged to match.

This week is my turn to host and I would like to see 'Anything But A Card' (with an anything goes option), There's lots of scope here, tags, notebooks, gift bags, or stationery sets etc.............

I created several items for this challenge, the Tag was a MDF tag which I covered with a 300gsm stamping card.  I created a background on it with oxides and some stamping.  I created a little scene on a smaller piece of card to sit in the centre and did some finishing touches with gilding wax, wooden butterflies and a coffee stirrer.
The Diary was a plain black one from Asda for 2021, my daughter wanted one decorating for her friends Birthday in December.  I needed a theme and my Daughter said she liked Game Of Thrones, so Zemira and dragons from lavinia certainly fit the bill.  The background was created using distress oxides, then mountains and grassland created with torn paper, I stamped images and flouishes and added highlights.
Then came wrapping for the Diary as my Daughter wanted something a little different, so first I wrapped it in tissue paper to protect it, then wrapped it in brown paper.  Tied it with string then decorated the paper in one corner and a tag to match the Diary inside.

Here is the prize on offer:-

Look At the Christmas Tree!

Good Morning bloggers, we have gone into tier 3 here in Leeds, I don't find it very hard as I don't really go out apart from shopping and I can still do that, and we have quiet Christmases since we lost our son. But I do see it is hard for other people. It's Saturday morning so It's time for a new challenge today at Allsorts, maybe this will help through the lockdowns.

This week is our lovely Brenda's turn to host and she would like to see 'Christmas Flowers, Trees & Wreaths'

I started by creating my wreath, using Lavinia fir cone branch to form the circle, then filling in with mini holly and mini berry using Versafine Clair inks. Some I did second generation stamping to give depth.  Once I was happy with the formation I stamped a fir tree and a Hare in the centre, I used a Gelly roll pen to give a shimmer on the tree.  Then using a mask I did a moon in a contrasting colour of ink.  I went round the edge of the card blending Colorbox ink and then splashed with water and dried.  Around the outside of the wreath using a glue pen I added a glitter in rose bud glow to give some sparkle.  Finally with a white posca pen I added highlights then a sentiment.

Don't forget to head over to Allsorts for all the details of this challenge, and to check out all the fabulous inspiration from my very talented team mates.

Wreaths & Candles

Hello bloggers, well everything keeps changing, here in Leeds we are supposed to be entering Tier 3 on Monday, whatever tier you are in I hope your all well and safe.  What doesn't change is the fact we still continue with our new challenges at  Stamping Sensations and We Love Chocolate Baroque challenges, and if you didn't get the chance to join in last month's challenges these could be the ones for you.

At Stamping Sensations this month the theme is 'Garlands, Wreaths and Christmas Flowers' So get out your Christmas flowers etc.....

I don't say this very often but I absolutely love this card I have made, in fact I am going to replicate it and make some more.  I have been suffering with a bad back so sometimes I can't lay down so I don't sleep, and this was made in the middle of the night and I just played with no pressure and didn't even have a plan, after I made it I realised it would fit this theme.  So here's what I did, I smooched distress ink, then dried it and then smooched over the top in a different colour with oxide so it would layer up.  I stamped my stag and then using three different foliage stamps from Lavinia I began to create a Wreath.  Using a Posca pen I added snow and also added glitter randomly round the edge of the wreath.

We have sponsorship this Month from
Chocolate Baroque with the following stamp set

Mellow Fruitfulness stamp sheet plus foam mount

And of course, the Design Team have created some stunners to inspire you. Please do pay them a visit to their individual blogs - it means a lot to know you appreciate their efforts.

And now onto my second challenge creation for We Love Chocolate Baroque, where the theme is 'Christmas'

I used Chocolate Baroques Christmas Circles and Butterfly minds  stamps, I started with a background which was a smooching effect with distressink, then dry and smooch again with an oxide for a layering effect.  I stamped my image in the middle, then stamped another two times to use to decoupage with.  I coloured the images with distress inks and layered up first the candles and then the Poinsettia.  Then around the edge I stamped the splots from Butterfly Minds with Versamark then embossed in gold.  Then did some splatters with a Posca pen. I coloured over the top of my flame with a gelly roll pen for some sparkle.  Finally I added a sentiment from the set.

Our prize:-
Is the winners choice of an A4 Chocolate Baroque stamp set, or stamps to the same value. We will also be on the lookout for our next Featured Designer selected from entries using Chocolate Baroque stamps.

This week is our lovely Kath's turn to host and she would like to see 'Celebrations'

My Celebration event is Christmas, and I love to see Reindeers at Christmas so here is a magical scene with Rory.  I created this by making a subtle background with Distress Oxides and stencil brushes, and making out a moon.  I wanted a very simple scene so added some Lavinia stamps and a sentiment.  I used a fan brush for some flicks of ink then added sparkle which isn't showing as usual.

Wreaths And Feathers

Welcome to my blog, it's mid way for Stamping Sensations and We Love Chocolate Baroque challenges, So if you haven't joined in yet there is still time.

At Stamping Sensations  this month the theme is 'Autumn Glory' , for my first card I have used a sponsors image of Dora's called Toadstool,  First I made a frame with distress inks and stamped leaves and splashed with a gold Posca pen.  I coloured the image with water coloured pencils.  For my second card I created a wreath using Lavinia stamps, the sentiment is a magazine freebie.  This was only my second go at doing a wreath, I enjoyed using my little worker stamps which are only £1 from Lavinia apart from the pinecone branch.  My other wreath is a Christmas one coming to my blog next month.  On that one I used red berries but on this Autumn one I did orange berries.

We have sponsorship this Month from
Stamp Addicts with a fab £25 store voucher.

And our very own Dora who designs some wonderful images, the winner will be able to choose some images from her store.

And now onto my second challenge creations for We Love Chocolate Baroque, where the theme is 'Anything Goes', It would be nice if you could use a chocolate Baroque stamp for this challenge, but if you don't have any you can join in with other brands.

I created  this using Chocolate Baroque's stamp set I Shall Be Your Wings, so I created a distress Oxide background In speckled egg and Tumbled glass, I then stamped the feathers with versa mark and embossed in white, and gave them some sparkle with Glamour dust.  I added the sentiment and finished it with some Liquid pearls.  This card is for my eldest Son's Birthday on 24th October, he would have been 25 years old, we lost him two years ago but we still celebrate his Birthday as if he is still here.
