Taking On A Project

Welcome to my blog, it's a new month for Stamping Sensations and We Love Chocolate Baroque challenges, if you didn't get the chance to join in last month's challenges these could be the ones for you.

At Stamping Sensations this month the theme is 'I Love ..............' I love Projects!  I love doing a project whether it be a box, a notebook or just a Baked Bean tin.  So I bought a blending box from Lavinia which comes like this:-

It is made of MDF and I painted it all in white Gesso to under coat it before assembling it.

I then sponged in two shades of metallic green acrylic paint.  I then created a scene using Lavinia stamps to fit on the lid.  It is so useful as my smoothies sit in the tray in the box and do not contaminate each other, and also easy to just see which I need.

We are really pleased to welcome a new sponsor this month who are offering one lucky winner as £25 store voucher, they have a super web site covering all styles of crafting so do go and check it out.

And of course, the Design Team have created some stunners to inspire you. Please do pay them a visit to their individual blogs - it means a lot to know you appreciate their efforts.

And now onto my second challenge creation for We Love Chocolate Baroque, where the theme is 'Hand Coloured Or Paper Pieced Image'  I created this for the Tv shows last month,  I created it using the Cotswold Stone House stamp and joining the stamp up three times.  I made a mask for one house so I could then use it to add some trees from Orchard Trees .  I painted the houses with Distress Inks and steciled a road in front of the houses.

Our prize:-
Is the winners choice of an A4 Chocolate Baroque stamp set, or stamps to the same value. We will also be on the lookout for our next Featured Designer selected from entries using Chocolate Baroque stamps.

Your box for your smoothies is fab Tracy and how nice to have something you probably use daily decorated with favourite stamps.

As for your houses, they are coloured perfectly and have so much atmosphere with the trees and pavement.

That box is fantastic, how wonderful to personalise it like that, it makes it so special. Your 3 houses card is very special too, I love the different colouring on each one and the trees in the back garden. They are all the same but different, it is really great xx

What a useful box that will be Tracy you'll never cover that beautiful created scene up and be unable to find those smoothies ever again, fabulous project. Loved seeing how it came to be.
The cottages are so quirky in design, I can just imagine them lined up in a row just so. What a fab stamp useful for every season.
Thank you for sharing these treasures, beautiful things.
Creative wishes Tracey xx
